DIY Beauty Maintenance Routine

I’ve been doing the majority of my beauty maintenance at home for as long as I can remember. My hair, nails, brows and occasionally lash extensions (when I feel like wearing them). I don’t let anyone else touch my hair, and I initially started doing the rest of my maintenance at home as a way to save money. However, I realized that I’m very particular about how I like things done and was never satisfied with the results when I went to a salon. These days I continue to do my maintenance at home to avoid disappoint AND keep my coins in my pocket. Since apparently preparing oneself to go outside is expensive af. So it’s a win win situation for me.

Now don’t get me wrong, I do treat myself to professional beauty maintenance treatments as well. I get my brazilian waxes and massages on schedule. Visit my Dermatologist monthly for a chemical peel, and try to get a professional facial a few times a year. I used to go to the salon regularly for pedicures, and gel manicures for vacation. But I ended up with toenail fungus the last time I went to the salon. Then my gel manicure chipped in two days… and the same thing happened again after making them redo my nails. I ain’t one to be wasting my coins. So now I think I’ll stick with doing my manis and pedis myself. Especially after doing my own toes and wearing press ons for my last vacation– and both held up well.

With all of that being said, it’s so easy to do at least some of your beauty maintenance at home. Practice really does make perfect in my experience. I’m sharing some tips in my At Home Beauty Maintenance Routine Vlog. Come see how I do my hair, brows, facial and manicure at home!
