My style has evolved a lot over the years. But the one thing that remains the same- I absolutely love a good blazer. Especially an oversized one. The blazer is a wardrobe staple and Fall must have. It’s such a versatile piece and will elevate any look. Now, don’t get it twisted, blazers will elevate your style year round. Fall just holds a special place in my heart as it’s my favorite season. And I get to pull out my vintage wool blazers (yassssss). Here’s how to wear the blazer this Fall.

If you’re not quite ready to let go of Summer yet, then you need a cream blazer in your life. It will certainly help you to seamlessly transition your Summer wardrobe into the Fall. Go with a double breasted style in a slightly oversized fit. Pair it with a fly pair of snake print block heel mules. And don’t feel bad about keeping your toes out as the temperature drops. I let mine hang out until the windchill threatens to freeze them off ha.

Speaking of not wanting to let go of Summer…Get some extra mileage out of all of those Summer dresses with a cropped blazer in a figure flattering cut. You’ll be able to pair it with every type of dress basically everything in your closet.

If you can only add one blazer to your closet this Fall, then make it plaid. This is coming from someone that’s not big on prints. A glen plaid boyfriend blazer will elevate all of your lewks. Make sure that one of those lewks includes a pair of leopard mules. Classy.

When the temperature starts to drop and it’s not quite cold enough for a coat, but fabric isn’t cutting the chill- that’s when you pull out your wool blazer. Pair it with a thin turtleneck or mock neck, and a pair of mom jeans for a chic look.

Add a pop of color to an all black (or all white) outfit with a burnt orange blazer. The shade is perfect for Fall and really pops against melanated skin. Mustard, wine, camel and olive are also great choices if you’re looking to add color to an otherwise monochromatic outfit.
