One positive thing about being in quarantine is that it has been great for my skin. For one, I’ve been giving my skin a much needed break and haven’t worn any makeup at all for the last six weeks. But I’ve also been sticking to a simple, yet effective quarantine skincare routine. Cleanse, tone, serum and moisturizer- morning and night. Intensive treatments when I need a bit extra. Although I haven’t been very consistent and skip a few days at a time, my skin has been clear & glowing. Here’s what I’ve been using on my oily skin during quarantine.
Morning Skincare Routine
I’m pretty faithful when it comes to toners and stick to what works best for my skin. I’ve been using the Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant in the morning. The salicylic acid fights acne while unclogging pores, and evens my skin tone.
I follow the toner with Pixi Vitamin C Serum to brighten my skin and enhance my natural glow. I have oily skin so mixing acids like BHA and Vitamin C doesn’t irritate my skin. But I don’t recommend this combo if you have dry skin as it may dry it out further and cause irritation.
After the serum, I apply Pixi Vitamin C Lotion to moisture my skin and boost the brightening power of the serum.
Last but not least, I use the Derma E Blue Light Shield Spray since I’m working from home and on my computer and phone all day, and watching tv all night. Blue Green Algae moisturizes and protects against environmental pollutants and free radical damage. Lutein helps to shield skin from blue light aggressors. While activated charcoal detoxifies and purifies skin, and ginseng improves elasticity.

Nighttime Skincare Routine
At night after cleansing, I use the Pixi Glow Tonic to tone my skin. Glycolic acid exfoliates and brightens while fighting fine lines and wrinkles. It also has aloe and ginseng to soothe, hydrate and energize the skin.
I follow the toner with the L’Oreal 10% Glycolic Acid Serum to further exfoliate and reduce dark spots and wrinkles.
Next I use the Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask to hydrate my skin. The encapsulated retinol fades uneven skin tone while Vitamin C and Vitamin E from the avocado fights wrinkles and firms skin.
Last but not least, I use the Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask to moisture and sooth my under eye area. It also helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles while I sleep. I definitely don’t sleep enough so I need all the help I can get.

I use intensive treatments a couple times a week as part of my quarantine skincare routine to give my skin some extra TLC. When I don’t get enough sleep (which is way too often), I use the Derma E Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Patches to brighten and refresh my under eye area and reduce puffiness. Bags ain’t cute. So as you can see, I use multiple products to combat them.
Once a week I use the Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub to gently exfoliate my skin and improve tone and texture. The dead sea salt unclogs my pores, fades acne scars and leaves my skin smooth and glowing.
I also treat myself to a sheet mask once a week. I keep a basket full of sheet masks and choose depending on what my skin needs at the moment. One of my favorites is the Pixi Glow Glycolic Boost Sheet Mask which exfoliates and brightens skin. I also love the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask which gives the skin an intense moisture boost and leaves it radiant and glowing.
Every other week I give myself an at home microneedling treatment with the Urban Skin Rx DermRenew Complexion Corrector Microneedling Tool. Microneedling helps to shrink pores, fade dark spots and scarring and smooth skin texture. It’s a little taxing on the skin and can cause it to purge a bit, that’s why I do it every other week. But when the skin recovers it looks amazing!
