Spring 2020 Fashion Trends To Slay When Outside Opens

It’s been a month since I’ve put on proper clothes. My coronavirus quarantine uniform has been loungewear in the form of satin slips paired with kimonos. Although this is not too bad for indoor fashion, I can’t wait to dress up, go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. I have no idea when outside will open again. But I’m praying that we will overcome this pandemic and resume living life outdoors soon. In the meantime I want to plan ahead and make sure that I have my cute ‘fits in order for the occasion. I also want to make sure that you guys are ready as well. Here are the Spring 2020 Fashion Trends to slay when outside opens. You may already have some of these pieces in your closet as most are classic and timeless. Which is a big plus since we’re currently facing financial uncertainty due to the COVID-19 crisis, and should be holding on to our coins. Ya heard. These pieces will also transition seamlessly into Summer in case quarantine lasts until then.

Tropical Prints

My minimalist wardrobe is made up of mostly classic pieces in neutral colors. But I occasionally slip in a few bold colors and prints for fun. Tropical Prints is a Spring 2020 Fashion Trend that I can definitely get into. Especially after having to cancel my vacation. If I can’t be laid out on the beach, at least I can wear a tropical print top that reminds me of it.

Polka Dots

Speaking of prints, polka dot is another one of the Spring 2020 Fashion Trends to jump on. It’s one of my favorite prints, and black & white polka dot pants is a staple piece in my closet. I like to stick with black & white since it’s not only minimal, but classic and will never go out of style. Polka dots not only pair nicely with other polka dot prints, but look amazing paired with other prints. So go ahead and pair it with the tropical print mentioned above.

Palazzo Pants

Palazzo pants is probably one of the Spring 2020 Fashion Trends that I’m most excited about. They can be dressed up or down, and pairs perfectly with everything. It’s my go to style of pants since they are super flattering on my pear shape. Palazzos make the waist look tiny, slims the hips and hides the thighs. They’ll be perfect to camouflage some of the weight gained during quarantine.

Slip Dress

If I could only choose one type of dress to keep in my closet, hands down it would be a slip dress. The slip dress is timeless. It flatters a variety of figures. Can be dressed up or down for any occasion. And can also be styled for every season by simply adding layers. Pair your slip dress with a denim jacket or duster to wear to brunch when outside opens. Then you can wear a turtleneck underneath, or a cardigan on top once the temperatures drop again.

Pleated Skirt

The pleated skirt is another classic style that will never go out of fashion. A pleated midi skirt will definitely elevate your Spring lewks when outside opens. Pair it with a graphic tee and denim jacket. You can also wear it with a white or denim button down. A satin cami and blazer combo would look great as well. The options are endless.

Oversized Blazer

Speaking of blazers, an oversized blazer is one of those pieces that every women needs in her closet. No matter your style. A double breasted oversized blazer looks so classy and will pair seamlessly with all of the Spring 2020 Fashion Trends mentioned. Wear your blazer with your slip dress to make it work appropriate. Pair it with your midi skirt or palazzo pants for a networking brunch. Or rock it with a sequin mini skirt for brunch with your girls.

This piece is sure to make a statement, which is exactly what you’ll want to do after being in the house for so long. Stick to neutral colors like white and black. This way you’ll be able to wear your puffed sleeve pieces over and over again without being too noticeable.
