Fall Skincare Routine

Now that Fall is in the air it’s time to update my skin arsenal. A lot of the products that I was using in the Summer months aren’t suitable for Fall as my skin has different needs every season. And to be honest, I used most of them up anyway since I’ve been extra vigilant about taking care of my skin. I also have a teenage son that has taken a liking to my skin cabinet, and he goes through products faster than I do. So here’s the products that I’ll be adding to my Fall Skincare Routine. I’ll update this post if anything doesn’t make the cut.

Urban Skin Rx Clear Skin Cleansing Bar

Urban Skin Rx Clear Skin Cleansing Bar

I absolutely love the Urban Skin Rx Cleansing Bars. My favorite is the Even Tone Cleansing Bar. But I’ve been suffering with some clogged pores and breakouts. So I’m adding the Clear Skin Cleansing Bar to my Fall skincare routine. The bar is best for oily, acne prone skin, and the pore clarifying treatment works as a daily mask, cleanser and exfoliator. Best of all, the bar is solid so it’s perfect for travel. Bonus: you can tuck the included exfoliating sponge right inside of the jar.

rban Skin Rx Dermapeel Smooth & Glow 2 Step System

Urban Skin Rx Dermapeel

Smooth & Glow 2 Step System

Urban Skin Rx Complexion Correction Chemical Peel Pads– This peel pad treatment is powered with glycolic acid, salicylic acid and retinol. The pads resurfaces and smooths skin, and improves the appearance of uneven skin tone, break outs, fine lines and pores. You can get results similar to a professional medical spa treatment, right in the comfort of your own home.

Urban Skin Rx Dermaplaning Tool– This at home facial tool exfoliates and removes dead skin cells and fine facial hair. It also helps skin treatments penetrate deeper. With regular use, the tool helps to reveal smoother, softer, even toned and glowing skin.

To use the 2 step system, first you cleanse and dry the skin. Then you exfoliate with the dermaplaning tool. Last but not least, you treat your face with the peel pads. Repeat these steps 1-2x per week. I am so excited to try this treatment system and see my results.

Paula's Choice Peptide Booster & BHA 2% Liquid

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

The Paula’s Choice 2 % BHA Liquid Exfoliant is one of my faves and I always come back to it. It has salicylic acid to unclog pores, and beta hydroxy acid to exfoliate dead skin. I’ll be using the liquid as a night time toner to help unclog my pores and get rid of these pesky breakouts.

Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster

The Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster contains eight powerful peptides. Each peptide targets specific skin concerns such as wrinkles, discoloration, dullness and firmness. You can use the serum alone, or mix it with another serum or moisturizer. I’ll be mixing it with another serum to boost performance.

L'Oreal Revitalift 10 % Glycolic Serum

L’Oreal Revitalift 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum

The L’Oreal Revitalift Derm Intensives 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum has a blend of glycolic acid and aloe to resurface and smooth skin. Over time the serum visibly reduces wrinkles and dark spots, resulting in even toned, younger looking skin. I’ll be mixing this serum with the Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster for the ultimate serum formula.

L’Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Day Lotion

Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), and AHAs leave the skin sensitive to UV radiation. Since my Fall skincare routine includes glycolic acid, it’s extremely important that I include a good daily sunscreen. The L’Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Day Lotion has broad spectrum SPF 30, along with pro-retinol, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid to reduce wrinkles, firm and brighten skin. I’ll be using this lotion in the day time before applying my primer and makeup.

Update: After wearing it for about a week, the L’Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Day Lotion turned out not to be a good fit for me. It’s too heavy for my oily skin and the fragrance is too strong. It also doesn’t wear well under makeup. My makeup starts to slide off mid-day. I tossed it and went back to my Summer moisturizer and sunscreen combo – Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer and Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40.

Pixi DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches

Pixi DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches

Your girl barely ever gets enough sleep. So I stay with bags under my eyes, and my hereditary dark circles make me look even more tired. I usually load up on the under eye corrector & concealer. But I’ve been trying to wear as little makeup as possible. Just enough to look put together and polished. In comes the Pixi DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches. The hydrogel eye patches contain hyaluronic acid and caffeine to instantly reduce under-eye puffiness and help reduce dark circles.

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Masks

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask

I’ve been using the original Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask since Spring, and I adore it. It brings my skin back to life when it’s looking dried out and tired. So I’m excited to add the new Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask to my Fall skincare routine. It’s the same avocado rich formula that nourishes and hydrates dry tired skin. But it now includes encapsulated retinol to help improve uneven skin tone and firm skin. I’ll be using this mask a few times a week as a night time moisturizer to lock in my treatments and serums.

Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask

Along with the face mask, Glow Recipe also released the Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask. Just like the face mask, the eye mask has avocado and encapsulated retinol. But it also includes coffeeberry (the seed of coffee plant) to revitalize, soothe and help reduce puffiness and dark circles. I’ll be using it day and night in hopes that it can bring these dark circles of mine under control.

Fall Skincare EDEN BodyWorks Skin Trio

EDEN BodyWorks Coconut Shea Skin Trio

When updating skincare products it’s so easy to forget about the body. Until flaking and peeling skin serves as a not so gentle reminder. I don’t know about y’all, but once the temperature drops my skin gets extra dry. That’s why I’m adding #EDENSkin to my Fall skincare line up. Enriched with coconut oil, shea butter & vitamin E, the EDEN BodyWorks Coconut Shea Skin Trio hydrates, nourishes and protects the skin.

The EDEN Bodyworks Coconut Shea Body Wash thoroughly cleanses the skin without stripping it dry, and moisturizes with shea butter and vitamin E.

After bathing with the body wash, an application of the EDEN BodyWorks Coconut Shea Body Lotion leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and ultra hydrated. Quick tip: apply while you’re still wet to lock in moisture.

The EDEN Bodyworks Coconut Shea Hand Cream hydrates, moisturizes, softens and protects hands with ultra-absorbent coconut cream. I’ll keep this in my bag at all times because ashy hands ain’t cute!

  1. What an educative post, as a skincare lover I could relate with everything you wrote here. It can be tough to get hold of the best skin products for oily skins. I would be adding the urban skin Rx clear skin cleansing bar to my skincare routine next fall, a bar soap containing both a cleanser and exfoliator is something to definitely try out.
