Y’all heard about that new lobster roll spot in Brooklyn that’s serving up $100 golden lobster rolls? Yeah, that would be BK Lobster. Now I’m not fittin’ to drop $100 on no lobster roll. I don’t care if it is made with real gold leaves. But I’m trying to make my way to all of the black owned restaurants in Brooklyn. So I did pay the restaurant a visit during my birthday week to check it out and report back to y’all, and it didn’t disappoint.

BK Lobster is located at the border of Crown Heights & Bed Stuy. I’m going to say Crown Heights as BedStuy doesn’t start until you cross Fulton Street in my book. Don’t argue with me. Anyway, the restaurant features a variety of signature lobster rolls named after Brooklyn neighborhoods. Along with a few classic rolls, and a specialty golden roll that will put you back $100. The Golden Lobster Roll features three lobster tails wrapped in edible 24K Gold Leaf, served with a glass of 23K Gold Luxury Wine.

Sounds nice. But I’m not about that life. So I went with the BedStuy B.I.G.G.I.E Roll. It features 1 1/2 lbs of lobster meat (tail included), tossed in vegan butter and lemon dressing, and served with a side of Terra chips. Yup, they have vegan butter. Does it really matter though since lobster apparently isn’t vegan?! In any case, it was good. Really good. And so was the lobster mac n’ cheese.

I loved the exposed brick layout. Since I was rolling solo, I sat at the community table and it was very welcoming and comfortable. The DJ was on point, playing all of the 90’s jams for R&B Tuesday. 90’s R&B singer Monifah actually came through later that night. I didn’t wait around though.

This mirrored hall with the blue lights was pretty dope too. I’ll definitely be going back to BK Lobster. Think I’ll try the Flatbush Roll next time since I loves me some jerk sauce. Oh, and lobster of course. I’d highly recommend that you guys give this spot a visit as well.
