Today is The Glamorous Gleam’s 9th Blogiversary. I can’t believe that I’ve been doing this for 9 years, but what amazes me more is how much I’ve grown. This is me in September 2009 at my 27th Birthday Party. A few weeks after I started this blog. With my long weave and too short dress. I was just learning how to really do makeup and had lots of practice since I was in the club pretty often.
Just from analyzing this photo I can tell you I’ve since learned that there’s other places you can go to have fun besides the club. In fact you’ll barely ever catch me in one. I’ve learned that I don’t need to wear weave and makeup to feel beautiful, and that I don’t need to show my ass to look good. That’s just a few things. But the point is, writing this blog, networking and meeting new people, going new places, working with brands and general exposure to a broader world has really helped me to discover my true self and blossom into the woman I am today.
So happy 9th Blogiversary to The Glamorous Gleam. A big shout out to those of you who’ve been there from day one, and to everyone that’s been down for me since. I will continue to share my journey & growth while motivating, inspiring, and uplifting my sistas. So stay tuned ❤️

Happy 9th anniversary, babe! Isn’t is crazy when you look back at how far you’ve come- both as a blogger and as a person? I’m definitely in the same boat- approaching my 10-year blogging anniversary and it’s wild to reflect!
