Y’all know I love the clippers. But I’ve been doing my best to let my hair grow out from my second big chop. I give my hair a good trim once per season. And it usually ends up being an extreme haircut. I decided to keep the length this time around. However, I took the sides and back down to reshape my tapered cut. This is my signature look. No matter how much I try to stray, I always come back. Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Currently I plan to let the top continue to grow out. But I may take the sides down even lower into a fade when it gets warm out. I always get the itch to cut it all off in the Summer though. So we shall see what I decide. In the meantime, I’m happy with the shape and length.
After my cut, I did a Bentonite Clay Treatment. Then washed my hair with the new SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Shampoo. I deep conditioned with the Hydrate + Repair Protein Power Treatment. Moisturized with the Hydrate + Repair Multi-Action Leave-In and sealed with coconut oil. Then I applied Eden BodyWorks Natural Pudding Souffle, and used Fantasia Coconut Styling Gel to do two strand twists. I styled my fresh tapered cut in a Twist Out.
Of course I had to get cute after I took my twists apart. You can’t tell me nothing when I have a fresh cut lol. Check out my Tapered Cut Tutorial to get an idea of how I cut my hair.

Your hair is always so beautiful. This is definitely your signature style.
Thank you 🙂
Love your hair!
Thank you!
I’m team tapered cut.
I tried to go without cutting my hair but 3 years in and I couldn’t do it anymore. I googled for styles and your pics came up – they were exactly the looks I was going for. I went to YouTube for more ideas then found your channel (“look at God”). I found out how to execute the styles I saw (via the google image search) when I saw your channel. I got this website from your YouTube channel. I’m not stalking you lol, I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!
Lol you are so welcome. I’m glad I could help on your natural hair journey xo
