I used to be a sneaker head in high school. I also had a collection of Hush Puppies and Wallabees (remember those) in a rainbow of colors. And a selection of heeled ankle boots and shoes. But bet when them new J’s and Air Max dropped, they were mine. When I moved into my first apartment I sold all of my old Jordans and Air Max (and made some hefty coins) on ebay. I had to make room for all of the stilettos I planned to add to my closet. You see, I was “grown” so I had to look the part lol. I did wear the occasional Prada or Diesel sneakers, but for the most part I was always in heels. My Nana warned me about the damage I was doing but I didn’t listen.

15 years later, my knees are suffering. Now I’m in flats a few days a week. I love oxfords, but my latest obsession is chic sneakers. These Patent Fenty Puma Creepers in particular. I can wear them with absolutely anything. Jeans, dress pants, dresses, skirts. Everything. The combination of the patent leather and platform give these sneakers the look of a shoe. But I still get the comfort of a sneaker. They are my go tos during NYFW when my feet has had enough of shoes, and I need to be comfortable and cute.

A new Pointy Patent Leather Creeper was released, and it’s taking everything in me not to buy them. They are just too similar to my current pair. But I want them anyway. That’s how much I love these sneakers. I may not add those Creepers to my collection, but I will be adding a few more pairs of chic sneakers for sure.

Here are a few more pairs of chic sneakers on my radar for Spring…
