I like to get a little carried away with my contour and must be contoured to the makeup gawds. The Sleek MakeUp Cream Contour Kit gets the job done!

Sleek MakeUp has always been one of my favorite drugstore beauty brands. Since the days when the brand was only available in the UK. I’ve had dinner with the PR team and used to receive the latest releases for review here on The Glamorous Gleam. I’ve since moved on and haven’t tried any new products from the brand for a few years. So I was excited to try the Sleek MakeUp Cream Contour Kit courtesy of Octoly. The kit comes in four shades Light, Medium, Dark and Extra Dark. I received the Extra Dark kit.

The Sleek MakeUp Cream Contour Kit is enclosed in a classic black matte case. The first thing that I noticed is that the case is on the flimsy side. It feels as if it won’t survive a drop. Sleek’s cases used to be extra sturdy so I’m not sure if the US products are made elsewhere. Anyway, the kit comes with a contouring guide to show you how to use it.

The contour kit has six shades- 3 highlight/corrector shades, and 3 contour shades. The creams had a layer of oil pooled at the top. I used a bit of paper towel to blot it away and haven’t had any issues since.

The lightweight cream applies smooth and blends easily. However, it needs to be layered if you want a bold contour. It’s not as pigmented in one swipe as the Anastasia Contour Cream Kit. But it does wear just as well, with no fading. I used shade #6 to achieve this look. It’s my favorite shade in the kit as it’s just dark enough with a neutral undertone. If you are much darker than I am though, this kit will not be deep enough for you. I also used the Sleek MakeUp Solstice Highlighting Palette and When The Sun Goes Down Eyeshadow Palette for this look.

I’m glad to see Sleek MakeUp finally available in the states, and that the products are still affordable with great quality. I’m looking forward to trying more of the new releases. If you’re not familiar with Sleek Makeup and interested in trying products from the brand, then make sure you check out my reviews. I’ve reviewed LOTS of Sleek products over the years.

The Sleek MakeUp Cream Contour Kit is available at Target, Walgreens and Ulta $11.99-$15.99
