I celebrated my 35th Birthday a couple of weeks ago and had the most amazing birthday weekend. I kicked off the celebration at Beauty & Essex for an intimate dinner with some of my favorite girls.
Of course we had to start out with some dranks. I had the Beauty Elixer, a cocktail featuring hendricks gin, cucumber, strawberry and sparkling rosé. It was absolutely divine. Not too sweet with a nice kick.
For appetizers we started out with the Grilled Cheese Dumplings & Tomato Soup. Minus the bacon as a few of us don’t eat meat, including myself. These were so good. The grilled cheese dumpling was oozing with what tasted like smoked Gouda cheese. And the tomato soup was rich and hearty. I could’ve eaten these all night.
I was ravenous, so I also ordered the Crispy Fish Tacos. These were also delicious. I loved the pickled diakon and carrots.
Lobster Mac ‘n Cheese is one of my favorite dishes. So I ordered this as well. To share of course. I’m not that greedy lol. It was pretty good, but MUCH smaller than I expected.
I ordered the Pan Seared Scallops for my main course. They were succulent, sweet and cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. Here’s some of the other dishes that my girls ordered…

Everyone cleared their plates and enjoyed their main courses. We had the Box of Doughnuts for dessert and our waiter brought it out with a candle, along with a complimentary cupcake. These were warm and fresh, and the raspberry jam and nutella fillings were very tasty.

It was truly an amazing evening, and I appreciate my girls so much for making my birthday spectacular. After dinner we hung out in the Beauty & Essex Lounge until closing. Then headed over to The DL lounge to get our two step on. Fun times. Here’s a better look at my dress…

The next day my son took me to dinner at Sweet Chick Prospect Heights and it was another fun night. I had an amazing 35th birthday weekend and truly appreciate the beautiful people I have in my life. Thanks again y’all for all of the birthday wishes. I appreciate you guys as well! xo
