I’m definitely a matte lip kind of girl. But even I have fallen in love with the metallic lips trend. It’s going to be big this Fall. And it’s a look you’ll want to try, especially when paired with metallic lids. I know you’re probably thinking metallic lips & lids is a bit much. Here’s how to execute the look for everyday wear, without looking like a disco ball.
Choose a metallic lipstick and eyeshadow in the same family of metals. Here I chose copper. They don’t need to be the same exact shade, just in the same color family.
Choose metals that suit your skin’s undertone. If you have warm undertones, stick to golds, bronze and coppers. I highly suggest the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette. Cool undertones? Go for silvers, pewters and charcoal. If you have neutral undertones all metals are fair game.
Go easy on the highlighter. You want to apply highlighter with a light hand when wearing metallic lips and lids. Otherwise you’ll end up looking like a disco ball for sure. If that’s the look you’re going for then highlight to your hearts content!

Looks great! I’ve been on the hunt for Heat lipstick and can’t find it. BUMMER!
Thank you. It was limited edition so it may be hard, but not impossible to find at this point!
