The Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme is a full coverage foundation that doesn’t give you cake face. Oil-free and enriched with a balance of pure pigments and water, the foundation is light and breathable, making it ideal for all skin types. One drop conceals imperfections, redness, hyperpigmentation and uneven texture. Best of all, the transfer-proof, water resistant formula wears for up to 24 hours. Not that I’d leave my makeup on for that long. Anyway, the foundation comes in 20 shades from the lightest to the deepest. And PR sent over the five darkest shades for review consideration. Along with the Velvet Blurring Primer and The One Perfecting Brush.
The Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme is housed in a pump bottle that dispenses small pumps. So you get the perfect amount with no waste.
I received Sienna, Espresso (formerly Mink), Sandalwood, Mahogany and Cacao. It’s amazing how all of the shades work for my complexion aside from Cacao, which is too dark. Let me explain. I have neutral/slightly golden undertones. So both Sienna and Espresso will work well for most of the year. But my undertones are more cool/red in the Summer, and of course I get tanned. So both Sandalwood and Mahogany are better matches for the Summer months.
Velvet Blurring Primer
Sienna – warm brown, neutral undertones
Espresso– chocolate brown, neutral to cool undertones
Sandalwood– golden chocolate, red undertones
Mahogany– bronze chocolate, warm undertones
Cacao– deep chocolate, neutral undertones
The Velvet Blurring Primer has a liquid to powder formula and dries down to a smooth, soft focus finish. The primer is oil-free and helps absorb the appearance of excess oil, extending foundation wear. It diminishes the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles, and is the perfect base for the Becca Ultimate Coverage Creme. The foundation applies smooth over the primer, and disappears into the skin. With a big help from The One Perfecting Brush.
You can use The One Perfecting Brush with liquids, creams, powders and anything in between. Natural bristles allow products to sit on top rather than absorbing. So products are not wasted. The horizontal design allows you to cover more surface area at one time. While the density of the bristles create a smooth airbrushed finish. This multitasking brush can be used as a foundation brush, powder brush, contour brush, bronzer brush, stipple brush, blush brush, fan brush, concealer brush, kabuki, or sponge.
I’m wearing the Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme in Mahogany. I blend one drop of the Velvet Blurring Primer all over my face. I then use The One Perfecting Brush to apply one drop of the UCCC in sweeping motions all over my face until blended. Then I apply the rest of my makeup as usual. My foundation stays put ALL day with minimal oil break through in my t-zone. The finish progresses from matte to dewy as the day goes on. But I never look oily. This is amazing as I have a super oily t-zone that shows its behind in the Summer months. I am so in love with the Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme. Combined with the Velvet Blurring Primer and The One Perfecting Brush, you have the perfect trio for a flawless face.
