I’ve been attending The Makeup Show NYC for six years now, and always cover the same brands. So I decided to do things a bit different this time around. Here’s some new & splurge worthy products from the black-owned beauty brands that were in attendance.

I fell in love with the AJ Crimson Beauty Dual Skin Creme Foundations. They are so light and creamy, and a little goes a long way. AJ Crimson is opening a flagship store here in NYC this Summer, on 34th St and 5th Ave. I’ll let you guys know exactly when as soon as I know.

Glamorous Chicks Cosmetics had a huge selection of liquid lipsticks in matte, metallic and cream finishes. They also had some beautiful pigments, and the glitters look amazing layered over the lipsticks.

It really felt good to see so many products made for us, by us. With extensive shade ranges to match all brown complexions. I’m looking forward to seeing more black-owned beauty brands at The Makeup Show in the years to come. My apologies if I missed any brands.
