The Laura Mercier Medium Deep TLSP Will Make You Dump Banana Powder

I've been using the Laura Mercier Medium Deep Translucent Loose Setting Powder non-stop for the last few weeks, and haven't touched Banana Powder since.

Laura Mercier Medium Deep Translucent Loose Setting Powder

If you remember this blog post, then you know how much I love the original Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. The powder makes my skin look amazingly smooth and flawless, and keeps the oil at bay for hours before I need to blot. So I was excited to receive the new Laura Mercier Medium Deep TLSP from Influenster for review.

Laura Mercier Medium Deep Translucent Loose Setting Powder

The Laura Mercier Medium Deep Translucent Loose Setting Powder is a warm brown shade, geared toward medium deep to the deepest skintones. It’s formulated to be an all over face setting powder. Although some people use it solely to set their under eye concealer. I use it to set my entire face, and Medium Deep matches me perfectly…

There is another blended swatch on the right that is pretty much invisible since the TLSP in Medium Deep blends seamlessly with my complexion.

I love to use the Laura Mercier Medium Deep TLSP with the Laura Mercier Radiance Bronze Primer and my CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation. I use different under eye concealers depending on my needs for the day. But my current favorite is the Make Up For Ever HD Concealer in Amber. I’ve been using the Laura Mercier Medium Deep Translucent Loose Setting Powder non-stop for the last few weeks, and it performs just as good as the original. I haven’t touched my Ben Nye Banana Powder (or any other yellow setting powder) since. Using yellow setting powder under the eye on dark skin is truly unnecessary. If you choose the right shade of concealer, a neutral translucent powder, or one that matches your complexion is all you need.

The Laura Mercier Medium Deep Translucent Loose Setting Powder is available at Sephora and Laura Mercier $38

    1. I love this powder! I don’t have Ben Nye Topaz though. Just Banana Powder and Neutral Set.

  1. I do love this for all over setting. I’ve even worn it with moisturizer for a light coverage running to the grocery store, it’s good stuff!!!

    1. I just use the velour puff that it comes with. When that gets beat up I use a a combo of brushes or a beauty blender
