Juvia’s Place is a black owned beauty brand catering specifically to brown skinned beauties. Created by Nigerian born wife and mother, Chichi Eburu, the brand launched a little more than two years ago. However, Juvia’s Place has recently become extremely popular due to rave reviews on social media and in the blogosphere. It seems like everyone and their mama is talking about the super pigmented eyeshadow palettes featuring artwork of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. So of course I was super excited to receive the Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette as a birthday gift. My cousin Mo always gets me the good stuff.
The Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette was inspired by the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, known for her outstanding beauty, strength and spirituality. The palette features 12 highly pigmented eyeshadows- 4 matte shades and 8 metallic. The pans are rather large, about the same size as a Make Up For Ever single eyeshadow. That’s about double the size of a standard eyeshadow.
The eyeshadows are EXTREMELY pigmented, smooth and buttery. Even the matte shades. They almost feel creamy.
Morocco (matte), Madagascar (matte), Sheba (metallic), Yaa (metallic)
Jezebel (matte), Zuri (metallic), Cleopatra (metallic), Nefertiti (metallic)
Nairobi (metallic), Leyla (metallic), Kenya (matte), Egypt (metallic)
The Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette is on point. In addition to having amazing pigmentation, the eyeshadow colors are gorgeous. Every single shade is brown girl friendly and will look great on any complexion. The palette is also very versatile. As a result, a variety of looks can be created- from nude, to smokey, to fun and colorful. The Nubian 2 palette is rather inexpensive at $30. Which is not nearly as much as palettes with similar or the same quality from bigger brands. The eyeshadow pans from other brands aren’t as large either. Therefore, I’d highly suggest that you snatch up The Nubian 2 Palette while you still can. I think I need the other two Juvia’s palettes in my life ASAP!

I love the look of all Juvia’s Place palettes. They look so highly pigmented and beautiful, need to try get my hands on some xo
I am totally impressed. I haven’t seen a palette this pigmented in a long time. I hope all is well xo
I’ve been debating buying from them for months now but was a little scared because of some of the customer service issues I’ve seen them have. I think I may go ahead and order and hope for the best! I def want this and the masquerade palette….I heard they are even launching a masquerade mini palette at the end of this month.
That masquerade mini palette is so cute. I definitely want it as well. Lawd knows I have enough makeup, but I always want more! lol
I have this palette and the Masquerade palette, love both of them! They are coming out with a new palette by Thanksgiving, can’t wait for that!!!
That’s the Mini Masquerade, or a different one? I think I need the mini masquerade in my life ?
It’s a different one, she said they will be releasing details soon…it’s in the testing phase.
Thanks for the info!
I’m either proud or ashamed to say that I own nearly every one of the JP palettes. I wish I could get other shadows with this level of opacity, wear and blendability at the same price point. Especially when they do their frequent 30-50% off sales. I smile as my wallet weeps. Have you tried their other palettes?
No, this is the only one that I own!
