As much as I love the look of a Mohawk, I’m not fittin’ to shave the sides of my hair. At least not right now. There’s no need to anyway when you can fake it until you make it with a Fauxhawk. A Finger Coil Out Fauxhawk is my favorite way to style my tapered TWA.

It’s Finger Coils pulled apart and shaped into a Fauxhawk. The style is edgy, funky, chic and super cute. Best of all, it works for any occasion. I decided to wear the style for the Essence Street Style Block Party and since you guys have been asking for a tutorial for a while now, this time I filmed it for y’all. You won’t believe how easy it is to achieve!

To maintain the style, I sleep in a satin bonnet and fluff in the morning. I apply a curl refresher spray every few days to keep my hair from drying out, and it wears well for up to two weeks.
