My New Fave, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

There's no purpose in beating your faceif you can't keep your art in place. The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is all you need!

I’ve been a die hard fan of Ben Nye Neutral Set to set my makeup for years but there’s a new favorite in town, the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I received it in my Bloomingdale’s Bonus Box (more on that later) and I’ve been using it every day since.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder contains the finest French “cashmere” talc, resulting in a sheer, silky powder that looks and feels natural. A unique light-reflecting ingredient creates a soft focus appearance for fine lines and imperfections. The oil-free powder sets makeup to prolong wear leaving a natural look without appearing cakey or powdery.

The sifter jar makes it easy to shake out what you need into the cap, and the powder doesn’t spill all over the place. A little goes a long way so you don’t need a lot.

The powder has a pale yellow appearance in the jar, but it’s colorless and blends seamlessly to match any complexion or skin tone. I press and roll the powder onto my face with a kabuki brush. At first it makes you look a little pale and ghostly, but it settles down to a beautiful finish. My skin looks amazingly smooth and flawless, and my makeup stays put. The powder keeps the oil at bay for hours before I need to blot, which is unheard of for my skin these days. I’ve become an oily mess. It works well with all of my foundations and works especially well with the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer.

The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is my new favorite and I can’t believe that I’ve waited so long to try it. There’s no purpose in beating your face to the makeup gawds if you don’t have a good setting powder to keep your art in place, and honey, this is all you need!
