Get Your Glow On With The Pur HydraFluid Foundation

The Pur HydraFluid Foundation infuses the skin with Swiss Alps-sourced water to hydrate for lasting radiance while providing a silky, luminous finish.

Pur HydraFluid Foundation

Dewy skin will be the thing this Spring and you’ll be completely on trend with the new Pur HydraFluid Foundation. The Pur HydraFluid Water Serum Foundation uses Pur’s encapsulated water process to deliver Swiss Alps-sourced water deep into the skin for optimal hydration. Formulated for all skin tones, the buildable and blendable mineral pigments morph into the skin giving all complexions a gorgeously glowing look. The result is lasting radiance, smoother skin tone and a silky, luminous finish. The foundation comes in five shades, all of which I was sent for review.

The squeeze tube with a small nozzle makes the foundation very easy to dispense.

The HydraFluid foundation is extremely lightweight yet provides just the right amount of coverage for that “my skin but better” look, while tiny shimmer particles gives the skin a gorgeous glow. A dime-sized amount applied with a BeautyBlender covered all of my skin imperfections, but I don’t really have any skin issues aside from a few dark spots leftover from breakouts. If you have more serious skin issues you will need to apply another layer. The darkest shade Deep is a great match for my complexion. Check out how it looks on.

As an oily girl I tend to steer clear of hydrating formulations and was weary that the HydraFluid Foundation wouldn’t work well for me. Applied over my Laura Mercier Radiance Bronze Primer, it lasted for about five hours before the oil started to seep through. After that I had to blot my t-zone and apply an oil absorbing powder all over my face. At the end of the day my face was really oily so this foundation would be better for dry skin.

Overall, the Pur HydraFluid Foundation is great if you have dry skin and want good coverage while still letting your skin shine through. It’s extremely lightweight and feels like you’re not wearing any makeup at all. With only five shades the selection is quite limited though, so I’m hoping that Pur will add more shades. This was my first time trying Pur Cosmetics and I’m impressed. Can’t wait to try more from the brand!

    1. Thank you. I’ve been wearing it all week with different primers to try and get the oil under control since I love it so much. I’ve been getting the same results though. I don’t mind applying powder and blotting but in the warm months this will be a no go ?

  1. The vast majority of the time when I see hydrating or moisturizing or even luminous or things along that line I already know to pass (even tho I use quite a few mattifying and/or oil control products). My combination-to-oily (more like oily-to-combination lol). I could almost predict this review before clicking on it to read lol.

    1. Lol that’s how I feel. I usually stick to a matte foundation and use highlighters and bronzer for glow. I used to be normal with an oily t-zone but I as I get older my skin is becoming more oily all over.
