January is the perfect time to reassess your skincare needs as the blistering wintry weather can really take a toll on the skin, calling for a change in routine. I have combination skin with a very oily t-zone, but in the winter my skin becomes a little more dry than usual. It also becomes more prone to blemishes as I tend to stay in the house more, hibernating and eating things that I have no business eating. I need products that will combat blemishes and dryness, and balance my oily t-zone, so I’ve added a few Boots No. 7 products to my skincare routine to do just that. These Boots No. 7 Skincare products address my current winter skincare needs, but will also work for my skin type all year long.
I like to use a cleansing oil to remove my makeup and the Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil for Normal/Dry skin works, well, beautifully. The lightweight oil melts away dirt and makeup, even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. When you add water, it emulsifies into a creamy, milk-like cleanser and removes everything. The cleansing oil is enriched with Rosehip Oil and Vitamin E to protect, hydrate and lock moisture into the skin. It leaves my skin squeaky clean without drying it out, and makes my cleansing routine so easy.
The Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Blemish Defence Serum is oil-free and contains Willow Bark Extract to clear excess sebum in the pores, help calm irritated skin and reduce breakouts. It’s also formulated with peptides to help soften the appearance of fine lines. This serum is amazing! It reduces the size of pimples overnight and gets rid of them completely in just a few days. It’s also been slowly fading my dark spots and evening out my skin tone. The serum works well under makeup and seems to keep the oil at bay. I love it.
The Boots Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask is actually from the Botanics line, Boots’ line of all natural skincare products. The deep cleansing mask has clarifying Willowbark to help draw out impurities and absorb oil without drying out the skin. It really helps control the oil in my t-zone and dry out pimples. The mask leaves my skin smooth, soft, blemish-free and less oily.

Skincare is something I’m definitely focusing on this year. I’ve already purchased a new eye cream, sheet masks and a new exfoliator, so I can’t wait to start my new skincare routine. 🙂
Sounds like you’ve got it all worked out ?? 🙂
I love No.7 products! I’m sticking with those for my regimen!
I’m really liking them so far, especially the Blemish Defence Serum.
Definitely going to give this a try
Are you still using the serum and like it? I have an oily t zone and would like to add a serum to my skincare regimen.
It’s still in rotation. Works pretty well!
