D.I.D. Nail Paint is a new brand in town created by licensed nail tech Adrienne Blanks. It’s a highly pigmented, eco-friendly nail color collection that achieves full coverage on the nails in 1-2 coats, and doesn’t contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor- which are toxins that can be harmful to the body. The brand was featured on the AR’RYLES models at the Essence Street Style Block Party Fashion Show this past September. I received a bottle in my gift bag from the Spring 2015 Ultimate Trunk Show but didn’t use it until last month, now I’m hooked!
Eden is a deep primary green and looks absolutely gorgeous on. This is my third time choosing this color for my mani within the last two months and I just can’t get enough. I’m totally obsessed. It’s the perfect green, like freshly cut grass on a beautiful Summer day.
The formula is between a highly pigmented jelly and a cream, and actually looks like a gel manicure once dry. Two coats provide full opacity and it dries to a high shine finish, even without a top coat. I still apply one though to protect my manicure and allow my nails to dry quickly. I’m able to get up to three days wear without chipping, sometimes five if I’m gentle on my nails.
I can’t wait to try some more shades from D.I.D. Their Nude Collection is looking mighty nice, I may have to snatch it up!
