I recently took a girlfriends getaway to Cancun to celebrate my cousin Monique’s 30th birthday and boy did we have a ball. My friend Gina gave us all nicknames for the trip. She was Kee Kee (because she’s a troublemaker lol), Mo was Soledad and I was La Reina de Cancun- The Queen of Cancun. The fellas actually named me that straight off the plane ;). Here is a tidbit of my trip with lots of pictures (and little words).

We stayed at the Grand Oasis Sens which is an adult only, all inclusive resort in Cancun. As much as I love kids, it felt really good to not have them running around all over the place. Also, I was much more comfortable in my skimpy bikinis and changed into one as soon we settled down.

Later that night we got cute and headed out to dinner and drinks on a pirate ship.

MO’S SWIMSUIT (in a two piece) TOP & BOTTOM

For most of the trip we simply enjoyed lounging around in cute swimsuits, while getting our eat and drank on all day. My type of vacation.

We had dinner at the resort’s Japanese Mexican Fusion restaurant to celebrate Mo’s birthday. The food was really good, and the staff sang happy birthday while presenting Mo with a whole cake- which we all enjoyed.

After dinner we went to The City to party. The club is the largest in Latin America- located in an old stadium. It was overwhelmingly huge so we were glad to be seated at a table in the VIP area, compliments of our hotel. The music was pumping and there were people dancing in cages suspended in the air. There was also random bursts of hookah foam. It was a wild night y’all.

The next day we headed to the mall and took a ride on the R2 bus. They drive crazy fast!

We stopped in a shop to do some tequila tasting.

SWIMSUIT
Later on we headed back to our hotel and immediately changed into our swimsuits. We had lunch and chilled at the pool until dinner time.

The next day we got up early and headed out on an adventure tour. The first stop- Chichen Itza, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Next we headed to Cenote Ik Kil, an 85 feet sinkhole with an open view of the sky. None of can swim so we had to wear life jackets. You’re probably thinking that we’re crazy. It was scary, yet fun though.

We kicked off our last day with some Fish Spa Therapy at the resort. Tiny fish nibble at your feet to remove dead skin. At first it felt weird, then it tickles. After a while you get used to the sensation. Our feet felt nice and soft after.

Of course we had to enjoy some time at the pool and beach before leaving.

I truly enjoyed my trip and wish I could have stayed longer.
