Vera Moore Cosmetics is 35 years young and surely not a new company, but I’d never tried any products from the brand so it’s new to me. Owned by Vera Moore, a former actress turned entrepreneur, the brand is black owned and a family run business. I had the pleasure of working with Vera Moore Cosmetics at my recent Beauty & The Bag event and absolutely fell in love with the products and Vera Moore herself. She’s such a beauty inside and out. Let me give you a closer look at some of her products.
Matte Eyeshadows, these are on the larger side and about the size of a small blush pan.
Tan, Saddle Brown, Dark Chocolate
Pearlized Eyeshadows
Taupe, Autumn Gold, Taffy, Icy, Coal Dust
All of the eyeshadows are buttery smooth, extremely pigmented and blend like a dream. They stay put all day without fading when worn on top of a primer and cream eyeshadow base.
Khol Eyeliners
Charcoal, Brown, Black
Vera Signature Reds Collection
Riviera Red Blush, Vera’s Red Lipstick & Lipgloss
I’m wearing Riviera Red Blush, Vera’s Red Lipstick (A classic red very reminiscent of MAC Ruby Woo), Moore Red Nail Polish and a few eyeshadows. I absolutely adore Vera’s Signature Red Collection and all of the products pair nicely. The collection will work on a multitude of complexions and skin tones.
Mrs. Vera Moore (left) and her beautiful daughter Consuela who is a part of the Vera Moore Cosmetics team. It was an honor to work with them. I can’t wait to show you guys some more goodies from the brand.
Vera Moore Cosmetics can be found in select Duane Reade locations in NYC, and nationwide in Walgreen’s Look Boutiques (2 in NYC.) Also available online.
