Liner and lipstick in one, the new Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons deliver the intense shine of a gloss with the pigmentation of a lipstick. The crayons are formulated with Marula Oil and Mango Seed Oil to moisturize, and they also provide antioxidant protection. There are 8 shades in all, and Butter London was kind enough to send over 7 of them.
Each pencil has a built in sharpener making it easy to sharpen and apply on the go for precise application.
From left to right:
Ruby Murray deep berry crème
Primrose Hill Picnic tropical pink crème
Disco Biscuit bubblegum pink crème
Trout Pout light coral crème
Toff red grape crème
Teddy Boy rosy crème
Tea with the Queen light nude crème
The crayons glide on smooth and creamy and are very moisturizing. They apply sheer but can be built up for more intense pigmentation. Each shade has little particles of shimmer that gives them their high shine appearance. You can not see them when the color is on your lips, but it is very visible if you wipe it off on a napkin. The crayons wear well for hours, just gradually fading. You will need to reapply after a meal though. Here are my favorite shades…
Tea with the Queen
Primrose Hill Picnic
Ruby Murray
Overall, the Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons are great and I absolutely love them. I just wish that they were twist up instead and didn’t require sharpening, as since they are very soft you have to sharpen after every 2-3 uses. It becomes cumbersome. Anyway, if you’d like to try these out for yourself you’re in luck as I’ll be giving away a set of the 7 shades shown in this post on my Instagram. Look for the image below and follow the instructions in the caption.
U.S. Residents Only, 18 & Over. If under 18 you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Giveaway will end at 12 am EST on Friday, July 17, 2015. Please follow all directions or you will be disqualified. Good luck!
In the meantime, if you’d like to purchase the Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons, they are available at Butter London & Ulta $20
