As a member of Glam.com’s Fall/Winter Beauty Board sponsored by Olay, I was sent over a selection of new and exciting beauty products carefully selected by the Glam Editorial Team to review for you guys. I’ve been thoroughly testing these products over the past few weeks and some of them has quickly gained faves status… I’ve been reaching for them non-stop and they’re in constant rotation. The selection included hair, skincare and makeup selections but since my hair is currently in box braids I couldn’t test the hair products, so we will come back to those at a later date. Let’s start with the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream…
The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is formulated to rapidly penetrate skin to deliver anti-aging ingredients 10 layers deep, reversing the signs of aging in just 28 days.
- 1 Day: Reduces the appearance of lines, boosts hydration & brightness
- 14 Days: Skin is noticeably firmer and skin elasticity is improved
- 28 Days: Reverses the look of up to 10 years of wrinkles
I’m blessed that my skin has yet to show much in the aging department aside from a few smile lines and wrinkles around the eyes, however this cream has been beneficial. I’ve been using it for about a month and it completely got rid of my dry patches from my last bout with hormonal acne. My skin has been plump, firm, radiant and just looking great overall. The cream is very rich so I apply it at night as it’s too much for my oily/combo skin for the day time. All you need is a tiny bit, I cleanse, tone and apply it all over my face before bed and my skin looks great in the morning.
This Tea Tree Blemish Gel from The Body Shop has been a lifesaver from these cystic pimples that’s been popping up on my face. A dab of this on them at night before I go to sleep and before I apply my makeup in the morning dries them out in half the usual time that it takes.
I raved about this L’Occitane Shea Whipped Body Cream when I reviewed the collection here and I am so glad that I received a new tin as mine had run out. I’m still loving it just as much and it’s still keeping my skin soft and moisturized while smelling divine.
I used to absolutely love Demeter fragrances but I guess I kind of grew out of them. When I pulled this Pistachio Ice Cream Scent out of the box it quickly made me reminisce of my teenage years. Yes it really does smell like Pistachio Ice Cream, scrumptious and delicious. It works well alone but also works well layered over floral scents.
This all natural Cold & Flu Soak from C.O. Bigelow is great to add to your bath when you’re fighting a cold or when your body feels stressed. The herbal formula is packed with immune boosting ingredients like Willow Bark, Echinacea and Ginger. The Eucalyptus and Peppermint helps open nasal passages and soothes body aches. It’s so relaxing and you’ll sleep great!
I’ve been wanting to try this Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick but the shade that I received (Beauty) is not the right choice for my complexion. It’s okay though as I’ll be passing it along as a Christmas gift so it will still go to good use. I must say though that the packaging is just gorgeous!
This Eyeko Me & My Shadow Waterproof Shadow Liner has been perfect for the days when I just want to add a little more definition than my usual winged liner. I received Chocolate which is a rich brown. Since my lids are oily I dab a little primer first then apply this shadow all over the lid and blend with my fingers. It gives a subtle smokey effect yet still looks natural and stays put all day. I’ve been reaching for it a lot lately.
I was super excited to try these nail lacquers from the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Unknown Pleasures collection as I’ve never tried any polishes from the brand. I received Covet & Technopagan…
Covet, warm buff nude cream. This leans slightly peach on me. It’s a great nude for office wear or when you want a break from the brights.
Technopagan, blackened purple with blue pearl metallic. This is absolutely gorgeous! It’s hard to photograph duochromes but in person you can clearly see the fusion of blue and purple. These nail lacquers are very thick and opaque and you can almost get away with one coat, I applied two for good measure. It dries relatively fast and stays put for a few days without chipping and just minor tip wear. Think I’m going to add some more shades from the OCC nail lacquer line up to my collection.
I’m in love with this Erickson Beamon x LeSportsac Cosmetic Case at first sight. I love the print and the blinged out ring zipper pull is just too adorable. I was on the market for a new cosmetic case that would fit my daily beauty products. This fit the bill perfectly! What’s your Fall/Winter Beauty Faves?
