blogger on the go what's in my bag

As a blogger on the go who also has a 9 to 5, my bag usually has everything but the kitchen sink stuffed in.  It all depends on what I have going on that day, sometimes I’m out from 8 am to 10 pm so I have to make sure that I have everything I need from my beauty and blogging essentials, to a change of shoes, healthy snacks, the list goes on. First and foremost the bag itself is important. I don’t do small bags during the week. It’s just  impossible with all that I need to carry. My bag needs to be large enough to hold everything yet light enough so that it doesn’t kill my back. My current favorite bag is my large Longchamp Planetes Tote in black, it goes with everything and holds all that I need with room to spare. Best of all it’s lightweight so my poor shoulder thanks me. Here are my basics, the things that I usually carry everyday….

Intel-Whats-In-My-Bag-2

Canon EOS Rebel T4i DSLR to take pictures of my makeup looks, outfits, any new products that come in and random stuff. I love to take pictures so I almost always carry my camera and a 18-55 mm lens or my Nifty 50 Lens.

Iphone 4s to ensure that I am able to reached while I’m out and about via text and calls, listen to my tunes, keep up with social media, blog comments, emails and catch any photo moments that don’t require me pulling out my DSLR, you know like selfies lol. This phone is on it’s way out the door as I will be upgrading to the Iphone 6 ASAP.

Intel powered Dell Venue 7  to respond to emails and blog comments and post to social media when I need a larger screen. It makes it easy for me to do quick edits of blog posts, add events to my calendar and create notes in Evernote on the go. I also use it to catch up on my magazines and reading during my commutes and to catch up on my shows when I have a break. As a blogger on the go my tablet is very important and I find myself lost if I forget it at home.

Moleskine Weekly Planner to keep up with my schedule, deadlines, notes and planning. I used to rely solely on my Google Calendar and Evernote but realized once again that using those tools along with my planner is more efficient for me. I stay on top of things better.

My Makeup Bag holds antibacterial wipes, makeup remover wipes,  hand sanitizer, tissues, comb, mirror, blotting sheets, brow pencil, eyeliner, mascara perfume, lip balm and whatever lipstick that I am using for the day. I usually don’t have to retouch my face so I don’t carry foundation or other face products unless I have to do my makeup on the go (which is a rare occasion.)

I wash my hands a lot and they get extremely dry and start to crack and peel if I don’t moisturize well. SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Body Butter gets the job done and does it well. Oh and it smells amazing.

My Goldenbleu Clutch carries miscellaneous items such as chargers, usb cords, memory sticks, pens, pencils, post-its, sunglasses, breath mints and keys.

Umbrella not shown since it’s inside the bag… I keep a small one at all times just in case it suddenly rains as these roots don’t deal with water well. Humph.

  1. I too keep my tablet and an umbrella as well as my phone at all times. Thanks for the camera tip I never even thought to carry it with me.

    1. No problem at all. I find that as soon as I leave my camera home that’s when I need it for that impromptu shoot. Go figures lol

    1. By itself it’s not too heavy but when you load your bag up with other items it can start to get a little heavy. Especially if you’re carrying other lens and external flash
