Shea Butter is what drew me into L’Occitane, the infamous Shea Butter Hand Cream to be more specific. In honor of the 20th Anniversary of the hand cream, the brand has launched a new limited edition shea butter line with a texture as light and airy as whipped cream, the Shea Whipped Collection. I was super stoked to try out the products when I received them for review and they don’t disappoint! The collection consists of a Shower Foam, Body Cream and Hand Cream that all smells delectable. It has a light floral scent combined with baby powder, reminds me of a grown up version of Johnson’s Baby Lotion. I’ve been able to pair it with my favorite perfumes without the scents clashing.
My Shea Butter Whipped Body Cream got a little shaken up in delivery so I’m not able to show the original texture since I stirred it up… but think of how whipped cream looks when you try to spray it out without shaking it first. After giving a good
stir whip the texture resembles and feels like the smooth stuff that comes out after you give the can a good shake or if you whipped your own in a bowl. The cream contains a 10% concentration of Shea and although it’s a light and airy mousse, it melts into the skin leaving it soft and moisturized without being greasy.
The Shea Butter Whipped Hand Cream has the same texture but in a portable squeeze tube just like L’Occitane’s other shea hand creams. It’s a must have to keep in your purse for soft hands. I just wish the tube was bigger as I’ll probably finish this in a week.
The Shea Butter Whipped Shower Foam suds up nicely and leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized thanks to the shea. The combination of the Shower Foam and Body Cream will leave you soft, touchable all over and smelling great.
