Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow leaves my brows full with a nice shape, and natural looking finish. It's a keeper in my book and I don't see myself looking back!

I’ve been using Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade every day for the last 7 months and I loved it except for the fact that it began to dry out making it hard to work with. This is a constant problem with products that come in a jar, somehow the seal is not tight enough to keep air out. Anyway, I had to constantly wipe away the dried out layer with a paper towel which is a huge waste of product and it wasn’t exactly cheap. I decided to try something new this time around, Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector in Brown Black.

Aqua Brow comes in a squeeze tube instead of a jar and this keeps the product from drying out. It has a light gel like consistency and dries down to a matte finish. The gel is very pigmented so all you need is a tiny amount. The drop shown below is almost enough to do both brows so this little tube will last a really long time. I chose #40 Brown Black even though I typically keep my hair rinsed blue black since you should keep your brows slightly lighter than your hair to keep them from looking too stark. I always do my brows dark brown/ off black because of this. Brown Black applies as a rich chocolate brown but leans more off black as it dries. Once it dries it stays put with no smudging or budging.

Aqua Brow is very easy to apply. I’ve been using my Sonia Kashuk Brow Brush (review coming soon) with light strokes and then a spoolie from the same brand to blend it into the brows  for a natural finish. Here is a before pic…

  1. Maybe you should try nyx brow gel. I ordered mine but yet to receive it. People been going nuts over it, being waterproof and smudge proof. It also comes in a tube. It’s like $7 or $9 can’t remember.

    1. Thanks for the input, but I don’t like my eyebrows too much lighter than my hair as then it doesn’t look natural and looks like I filled them in.

  2. Great review. I actually switched from the aqua brow to the drip brow and have no plans to return..lol. The problem with the aqua brow is that the more you go in, the harder it becomes to control the amount of product coming out. Plus, I lost the cap one time and that was it..lol…anyway, great review. As always!

    1. Lol thank you. I just shake the tube and give it a light squeeze onto a metal palette and I get the perfect amount every time. It’s only been about a month though so I’ll see how it works when the tube is almost done.

  3. Thanks for the review and yet once again I am sold. I do use the ABH pomade but I want to give the MUFE Aqua brow a try. Like Lisa stated about the amount of product which comes out of the tube was one of my concern however, your technique will do just fine for me.

  4. Never mind about my previous question. I just read further down the blog and saw it was the MAC Rihanna Viva Glam 2. I thought that was what it might have been but I wasn’t sure.
