I’m always game to try a new mascara as I must face the facts, my lashes along with my eyebrows are pretty much non-existent. I wasn’t blessed with long luscious lashes so I have to compensate with mascara and lots of it. I was super excited to see a full size sample of the new Revlon Bold Lacquer by Grow Luscious Length + Volume Mascara in my July Beauty Box 5 as it looked promising. The formula’s lacquer film technology and intense color pigments is supposed to deliver deep color to the lashes while the Lash Stretch brush pulls the high shine fibers from root to tip to lengthen and add volume to the “nth degree.” A mascara made with only high-shine black fibers that both lengthens and adds volume? I’ll gladly take that. The thing is it did neither for me.
The brush is nice and slim with well spaced bristles to get even the tiny lower lashes without making a mess. You do have to wipe off some excess mascara that gathers at the end of the wand though. Now on to performance. Here are my bare lashes…
Now one coat of Revlon Bold Lacquer…
and now two coats of Revlon Bold Lacquer…
No extreme length or volume over here. It actually looks like I’m barely wearing any mascara and I generously applied two coats to my top and bottom lashes. Now I know that my lashes aren’t that full or long to begin with and I’m not expecting any miracles but c’mon on son, with these claims I expected better. Try again Revlon.

I absolutely love maybelline great lash, that always makes my lashes look long and luscious. Give that a try 🙂
I’ve tried Great Lash and love it, especially the Lots of Lashes one. It’s my fallback mascara 🙂
