Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer

New from Milani, the Color Statement Nail Lacquer comes in 37 shades and boasts a color-saturated in one stroke, chip resistant formula with a high gloss finish. The Color Statement Nail Lacquer comes in a variety of finishes from cream to metallic and blinged out glitters. I’ve been taking a few of the shades for a test run over the past few weeks and they are just okay.

The shade range is pretty amazing and covers shades for every season and occasion from sheer french to bold burgundy.

I’ve only tried out about 4 of the shades so far and the formula has been hit or miss. Although the lacquer is indeed very pigmented I found some of the cream shades to be on the thick side, particularly Blue Print. I don’t know if I got a bad batch but it was extremely thick and hard to apply. I was able to get full opacity in one coat but it was so thick and uneven that I had to apply lots of top coat to even it out. The Color Statement Quick Dry Top Coat is amazing in itself and gives a high gloss finish like some of the more expensive high end brands (think Seche Vite) but it doesn’t make the nail polish last any longer. Using a Milani Base Coat and the Color Statement Quick Dry Top Coat I couldn’t wear any of the shades longer than 4 days without my nails looking extremely bad. Most of them chipped badly in 2 days and some even started peeling in patches after 3. Here are a few swatches all with base and top coats…

Overall The Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquers are not too bad for the price. They are great for trying fun colors and different finishes without breaking the bank but don’t expect them to be long lasting as you’ll be disappointed.

  1. I purchased the Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer in Blue Print. And it’s the worse Nail Polish that I have bought in my whole life I payed $5.99 at CVS and after I did my manicure it only lasted for less than 24 hours. The next day my manicare looked like it had been done a month ago. At that time I was in a cruise and I feel so bad that everybody was looking at my nails. I had done my manicure 3 times that week with the same results.
