The Sleek MakeUp Limited Edition Rio Rio I-Divine eyeshadow palette is inspired by the vibrant colors of the Rio Carnival celebrations and everything that is Brazilian, paying homage to Brazil since they are hosting this year’s FIFA World Cup. The palette is filled with highly pigmented exotic shades such as bright golden yellow, metallic green and intense fuchsia with a mix of muted neutrals to tone it down a little.
All of the shades in this palette are smooth, buttery and extremely pigmented with one stroke, even the matte shades which are sometimes on the dry and chalky side in the i-divine palettes. You’ll get the best pop though by using a primer and a cream base under the shades. I highly suggest NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk for the bright shades to get the most bang.
Tropics, Night Fever, Ipanema, Caipirinha, Urca, Leblon
Chachaca, City of God, Copacabana, Sao Conrado, Bossa Nova, Leme
The colors in this palette are really bright and typically shades that I don’t wear too much anymore so when creating a look I went for something safe, bold but not too bright for work. I used Layla Pro Primer and Milani Shadow Eyez Eyeshadow Pencil in Almond Cream as a base with Leme all over the lid and Leblon on the crease blended out with MAC Soft Brown. I finished the look with City of God on my waterline over Milani Liquif’Eye Eyeliner Pencil in Gold, winged black liner and mascara.
A nude lip was the perfect finish for this look, I used MAC Freckletone.
The eyeshadows were easy to blend and wear well over a primer and base. Overall Rio Rio is a nice fun palette that can be used for going out and carnival costume, but also has a few everyday shades thrown in the mix. I can’t wait to create some more looks with this palette, maybe I’ll try a fun and colorful look this weekend. The Rio Rio I-Divine palette is available for a limited time at Sleek Makeup $11.99
