BB Creams and now CC Creams has become all the rage over the past few years as women gear toward more natural looking makeup, a my face but better look. Every time that I turn around a new CC Cream is on the market and most brands have their own version of it so at this point I’m sick of not being able to find a good shade match. There is absolutely no reason for it. I’m sad to say that Sleek MakeUp missed the mark with their CC Cream shade range and judging from the rest of their line up and their BB Cream that I loved so much I know that they can do better. The Sleek MakeUp CC Cream comes in 4 shades fair, light, medium and dark. When the Sleek MakeUp BB Cream was released it was also only available in four shades and after rave reviews but many complaints due to the lack of shade diversity eventually 3 new shades was released giving it a better range. You would think that Sleek would have learned from this and created at least 7 shades for the CC Cream but no it’s the same fiasco once again. I was sent over medium and dark for review.
The Sleek MakeUp CC Cream is a long-lasting complexion corrector cream formulated to conceal imperfections while boosting radiance and mattifying shine. It contains Vitamin C to help protect skin from free radical damage, reduce fine lines and wrinkles while improving elasticity. The moisturizing formula is supposed to combat dull and uneven skin tones while the color adaptive technology adjusts to your skin tone. SPF 29 protects against UVA and UVB Rays. It’s light and creamy with great pigmentation and buildable medium coverage.
medium, dark
Medium is slightly too light and yellow for my skin while dark is way too dark. As you can see there is a huge difference between the two shades and I am pretty sure that Sleek can add at least two shades in between them. I tried mixing them together but since the undertones are off I still couldn’t get a good match, only an olive looking shade that made me look sickly. I love the formula and the CC Cream looks promising so if you can find a good match in the shade range I believe that you may be pleased, but until Sleek MakeUp adds some additional shades (and I’m hoping that they will) this is a no go for me.

I just got the new Jane Iredale BB Creams and it’s the same! There isn’t one that work for my skin at all.
Can you titrate the proportions of each???
I tried this and it’s too time consuming. A CC Cream is a product that should be easy to apply so you can be out the door quickly. Having to do all of this defeats the purpose in my opinion.
