I decided to skip a complete review for the May Beauty Box 5 as it was pretty disappointing overall with the exception of the sample of Harvey Prince Hello perfume. This is such a delicious scent that I just had to share. I’m not one to try too many new fragrances and stick to what I love, but I was looking for a new signature scent for Summer so this sample could not have come at a better time. My usual favorite Burberry Brit doesn’t have the lasting power that it used to so I’ve been in search of a replacement and I believe I’ve found it in Hello.
Notes: Meyer Lemon, White Grapefruit, Satsuma Mandarin, Summer Forsythia, Pink Plumeria, Wild Verbena, Tahitian Vanilla, Sensual Musk.
With it’s mix of floral and citrus notes with vanilla to sweeten and musk to balance, Hello is the perfect scent for warm weather. It’s strong without being overbearing and lingers all day. I spray a light spritz on my wrist, rub them together and then dab it behind my ears and I’m good for the day. It also mixes well with my sweet smelling lotions like my current fave SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus without clashing. It’s rare that I love a scent enough to invest in a full size bottle but Hello has gained a spot in my permanent collection and I will be buying the full size before I run out. Harvey Prince is a new brand to me and I’d love to try some of the other scents as well.

I’ve never heard of that brand either and I’m pretty into fragrances. For summer I’m rotating between Kenzo Flower, D&G Light Blue, & Philosophy Summer Grace (smells great, no staying power on me). A fragrance that I really love but haven’t bought yet is See by Chloe; very fresh.
I love the smell of D&G Light Blue!
