If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook then you already know that I’ve put my braids back in. Between the gym and these strong Spring winds my hair was in a state ofย emergency and definitely needed a break. This time I did them slightly larger and a tad bit thicker. Took me about 17 hours to put them in.
I love the convenience of box braids. I can spend less time getting ready in the morning and there are so many styling options, especially with long braids.
It’s still a little uncomfortable to put them up but I should be good by next week. I plan to do a post on styling the braids soon. I did them down to the bootay again, here is an idea of the length…
They are too long to get the entire length myself but don’t worry I’ll be bombarding you guys with more pics soon! ๐ If you would like to try to do your own braids and don’t know where to start you can check out my tutorial here.
By the way I’m wearing MAC Heroine which I don’t wear nearly enough.

Your braids look great on you. I am getting my hair braided next week. I was trying to decide between the box braids and the Senegalese twists because I have fine thin hair micros would be to stressing on my hair. Thanks for sharing you braid maintenance in a previous post. I would also look to know what you used for your makeup look.
I am glad that my braid maintenance post helped you. I am going to update with the makeup details (what I can remember) today. Thanks for commenting!
Hi! I was wondering how you make sure the ends of your braids stay straight and don’t frizz?? I was planning to ave my braids braided all the way down but I like this better. I just know I can’t apply heat to synthetic hair.
I just do a hot water bath after they are done and every time I redo. They stay straight
