Now I know you guys may be thinking that this product is old news but it’s new to me since I never gave it the time of day. I don’t like putting too many products on my hair as it weighs it down so I usually wash and deep condition once a week and let it be. Besides using a heat protector or shine spray and something to tame my nape and edges every few days I don’t add any other products. Lately my hair has been dry like the desert. My scalp has been flaky to the point that it looks white and itches so bad that I scratch until I get spots, especially my crown where my hair starts to thin from digging in it. Not cute especially with a short cut, don’t want to look like a balding old man. Uh uh. I realized that I needed a good moisturizer.

Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Moisturizer is a cream moisturizer infused with olive oil and mango butter to help strengthen and protect hair against breakage, split ends and dryness. It’s lightweight, not too greasy or wet and really soaks in leaving your hair soft and moisturized. It doesn’t leave any residue or a film on the hair like some cream moisturizers can.

I put it directly on my scalp after washing and deep conditioning then massage it through my hair making sure to get the ends good. I then tie down my hair overnight to allow it to soak in. My hair is soft and moisturized in the morning and ready for styling and my scalp is no longer dry and much less itchy. I treat my hair again in another three days and I’m good until wash day. My hair loves this stuff so far so maybe I’ll try a few more products from the line up.

Only thing is this stuff is really hard to find. It took me a few days to track it down and I finally found it in one of my local beauty supply stores. This large jar was $5.99 but I know there is a smaller jar for around $3.99. If you can’t find it in store it is available online at Walgreens $5.29

The product(s) in this post was purchased with my own money.  See my Disclosure page for additional information.

  1. I had a couple of these on the side for when I get out of braids. My husband used it all…he is bald. Dunno if I should get it now or wait, it may be gone before I get the chance to enjoy it.

Great product according to everyone else. Lol

    1. That sounds divine. I didn’t know pure mango butter was so easily accessible. Atlantic and what if you don’t mind me asking?

  2. This is my favorite moisturizer and my hair loves it!!!! I’ve been lucky enough to find the larger jar.
