I have a serious problem with my kitchen. No I am not talking about the kitchen where I cook but the nappy mess at the nape of my neck. I have very thick, coarse hair that grows pretty fast and to keep my pixie cut tamed I have to relax, trim down and line up my kitchen every 2-3 weeks. Sometimes this is still not enough as it gets dry and curls up in tight coils, looking like a chicken’s behind. In comes Creme of Nature Argan Oil Perfect Edges.
Perfect Edges is a hair gel infused with Moroccan Argan Oil that holds down edges while moisturizing and adding shine. It can be used on relaxed and natural hair alike. It has a thick gel consistency but glides on smooth and melts into the hair while it sets, providing a soft hold. It’s not sticky or greasy and doesn’t leave the hair hard or crunchy at all. It also doesn’t leave behind any sort of residue or build up.
Before & After
Now I don’t like the look of slicked down edges and nape with a short haircut. Too old school for my taste and a sure way to make my face break out. I’ll pass. So what I do is wrap my hair, slick down my edges and kitchen (like shown above) with the gel brushing it down really good and then I tie my hair up as usual. What happens is when I style my hair in the morning my edges and kitchen are extremely moisturized and straight without looking slicked down. I brush them into place and they stay put all day. My nape stays soft and doesn’t coil up at all. Sometimes it just waves up a little though. With this method I can go a little longer without having to retouch my nape. Perfect Edges is truly the kitchen master! I even like it better than my ORS Olive Oil Edge Control.
You can find Creme of Nature Argan Oil Perfect Edges in your local beauty supply store for around $4.99.
