Jordana has expanded their product line and launched 6 new products last month, all of which will help you to keep your makeup on point this Fall without breaking the bank. You don’t have to go broke to be beautiful! I was sent over some samples of the new goodies and have been testing them out for the last month, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. Let’s start with the Eyeshadow Pencils…
The 12HR Made To Last Eyeshadow Pencils ($3.99) are long lasting, water resistant and crease proof. Once they set they don’t budge. I like to use them as a base under my powder eyeshadows to make them pop and I always use a primer due to my extremely oily lids. My eye makeup stays in place and vibrant all day. It comes in 8 shades…
Eternal White (matte), Stay On Black (matte), Tenacious Brown (matte), Continuous Almond (matte), Pink Evermore (shimmer), Prolong Purple (pearl), Aqua Last (pearl), Endless Emerald (pearl)
If you missed the Milani Limited Edition Naturally Chic Shadow Eyez Pencils you’ll find that Continuous Almond,Tenacious Brown & Stay on Black are dupes for Almond Cream, Espresso Line and Black Ink Respectively. There is also a dupe from the permanent Shadow Eyez Pencils, Aqua Last is the same shade as Aquatic Style. The Made To Last Eyeshadow Pencils have the same pigmentation and staying power for a few bucks less. Prolong Purple and Endless Emerald are gorgeous for Fall but all of them will work!
The 12HR Made To Last Liquid Eyeliner Pencils ($2.49) are extremely pigmented, long lasting and waterproof. They glide on smooth with the ease of liquid eyeliner and stays put, even on the waterline. It comes in 6 shades…
Aqua Stone, Purple Fix, Jade Jewel, Charcoal Definition, Black Point, Espresso Last
They are very similar to the Milani Liquid Eye Liquid-Like Eyeliner Pencils at less than half the price. These are definitely a steal and the color palette is perfect for Fall.
The Fabuliner Bold Felt-Tip Liquid Eyeliner ($2.99) has a thick felt tip with a point that can create a very bold or thin line. It’s perfect for creating a winged eyeliner look which is big this Fall and always since it’s a classic look. The pen is very pigmented and claims to be long-lasting and non-feathering but it doesn’t hold up to teary eyes. You’ve been warned. The tip will also start to bend with wear.
This is Jordana’s version of Milani’s Eye Tech Bold Pen and it is also less than half the cost.
Jordana has also added two new mascaras, Best Volume Extreme Lengthening Mascara and Best Volume Extreme Volumizing Mascara ($3.99 each). I will give you guys a closer look with separate reviews for these but so far I am loving the Best Volume Mascara and have been using it everyday for the past few weeks.
Last but not least, the Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains ($2.99) are moisturizing lip balms infused with a lip stain. They apply glossy and wears off to leave a flush of color on the lips. Twist up and retractable, they do not require a sharpener. The stains come in eight shades…
Nude Chic, Terra Crave, Sweet Pink, Honey Love, Cranberry Crush
Rock n Rouge, Tropical Frenzy, Candied Coral
The Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains provide decent moisture and leave a nice stain on the lips but the shimmering shades feel sightly gritty, particularly Nude Chic. Grit is not my cup of tea and I don’t like too much shimmer on my lips. Other than that these are perfect for throwing in your purse on the weekend. Cranberry Crush and Rock n Rouge are my faves.
*Edit* OMG I love these in the non shimmering shades. They are are sheer but can be built up for lipstick like pigmentation and wear for hours upon hours, even through food and drink. The Moisturizing Balm Stains will be a staple in my makeup bag this Fall & Winter!
I love finding affordable makeup goodies at the drugstore that work just as well as the high end brands. I can use the savings for something else like a new purse or some fab Fall boots and now you can too! You can find these new goodies at Walgreens or online at www.jordanacosmetics.com
