A few months ago Black Opal came out with a few new collections including the Even True Flawless Skin Liquid Makeup. I recently received a box from the brand and was ecstatic to find a few shades from this new line of foundation inside for me to try. Let me tell you that this foundation is pretty awesome!
The Even True Line is a tone renewing collection with a skin brightening formula to help correct, treat, hydrate, rejuvenate and protect skin while restoring luminosity. The Even True Flawless Skin Liquid Makeup is a skin brightening foundation that is supposed to conceal discolorations, blemishes and imperfections for a flawless finish. It’s oil free, fragrance free, paraben free and hypoallergenic.
It comes in 8 shades and I was sent 4 for review… Rich Caramel, Heavenly Honey, Beautiful Bronze and Carob.
The foundation comes in a squeeze tube making it easy to dispense. The formula is very lightweight and more like a light but fluffy cream than a liquid
Rich Caramel, Heavenly Honey, Beautiful Bronze, Carob
It applies like a liquid and sets with a soft powder finish. The formula is ultra smooth and provides medium to full coverage with one coat. It can be layered if you require more coverage. It blends into the skin well and looks very natural, not cakey. My shade match is Beautiful Bronze. To apply I squeeze a very small amount onto a metal palette and buff it into my skin in small sections using a flat top brush. Check it out on…
The Black Opal Even True Flawless Skin Liquid Makeup provides just the right amount of coverage with one coat and really does leave a flawless finish. When used with a primer and setting powder it wears well for my entire work day without melting off or fading and controls oil pretty well, it requires little to no blotting over all. Black Opal has a winner with this one but they really need to come out with a few more shades. It retails at $11.95 and can be purchased at a drugstore near you that carries the brand or online at www.blackopalbeauty.com. You can see my review of the Black Opal Even True Concealer here and I will be posting swatches of a few more shades soon 🙂

Ooo never heard of Black Opal – I must try and find them here in the UK. 🙂
Any luck finding this in the uk? :/ I really want this.
I’m not sure if this line is available in the UK. Sorry :/
Hiya, Black Opal has been available in the UK for years, try more the local stores than Boots or Superdrugs. Don’t know where you located but PAK Cosmetics in North London, they tend to have everything for black skin that BOOTS and Superdrugs won’t carry. You can Google PAK or Amazon.co.uk and even eBay UK all have Black Opal. (sorry think I double posted)
Thanks for this! Black Opal products are actually pretty good in my book and I didn’t know they had new stuff. Will be looking for this.
You’re welcome. I’ve always heard good things about the brand but had never really tried their products. Now I’m hooked!
Going to try!! Looks good on you!! Thanks for posting!!
Thanks YoYo hon and no problem!
I never really tried any black women based cosmetics and lately I’ve been seeing positive reviews for different brands. I guess it’s try to me to hop on this train lol
lol Yeah I’ve just started trying more products geared toward us and I am really impressed!
Will check this out Im looking to switch from MAC to a more budget friend brand
Definitely check it out then, I think you’ll like it!
Hey,
which shade did you use? We are the same complexion so I wanted to check before I bought it.
Hi. As mentioned in the post I used Beautiful Bronze 🙂
Thanks! read too fast! lol
Lol it’s all good!
Ok, I am going to try this. After trying their concealer and lipsticks, I have become a fan. Sometimes these foundations make me look orange except the Revlon colorstay but this looks good.
I have the same problem. Oxidation is the worst and will have you running around looking like an oompa loompa! lol
