The Black Opal Color Splurge Collection is a new collection that features a line of extremely pigmented eyeshadow duos and two lines of glosses, one richly hued and the other sparkly and iridescent. I received a few products from each line to show you guys so let’s start with the Color Surge Eyeshadow Duos ($6.95), highly pigmented and buildable powder eyeshadows in complimentary shades. I received Smokey Siren, Psychedelic Craze, Jewelous Fervor and Idyllic Desire…
Smokey Siren, Satin Silver & Sparkling Gun Metal
Psychedelic Craze, Sparkling Lavendar & Deep Purple
Jewelous Fervor, Satin Magenta (MAC Plum Dressing Dupe) & Blackened Purple with Pink Sparkles (MAC Beauty Marked Dupe)
Idyllic Desire, Shimmering Peach & Taupe
All of the shadows have great pigmentation and apply smooth with the exception of some of the more sparkly shades, they are a bit gritty on top but get better when you get past the first layer. Next up are the Color Splurge Patent Lips Glosses ($6.75). The high pigment, lightweight formula is ultra shiny and glides on smooth, it’s not sticky at all. It moisturizes and treats lips with vitamins A, C & E to soften, smooth and provide anti-oxidant protection. They have a soft fruity fragrance and are paraben free. The pigmentation on these are amazing and it’s more like a liquid lipstick. I received Nude Scene, Blaze, Posh & Red Intensity…
Nude Scene, Orange Blaze, Posh & Red Intensity
Nude Scene, shimmering peach toned nude
Orange Blaze, shimmering tangerine orange
Posh, glossy bright pink
Red Intensity, glossy red
Last but not least, the Color Splurge Lustre Glosses ($6.95) are lightweight, non-sticky and contains nourishing butters and Vitamins A & C to hydrate and sooth lips while providing anti-oxidant protection. They have a soft fruity fragrance and are paraben free. I received Cheeky, Bliss, Mahvelous & Fabulust. The shades are pretty sheer with lots of sparkles for the most part and for this reason I did not swatch Cheeky and Bliss on the lips, the other two have more visible pigment …
Cheeky, Bliss, Mahvelous & Fabulust
Mahvelous, Shimmering Hot Pink
Fabulust, Shimmering Deep Coral
Overall I am truly impressed with the Black Opal Color Splurge Collection, Black Opal truly did the damn thing. Look for this collection in a drugstore near you that carries the brand or on www.blackopalbeauty.com.

I really like all the eyeshadows with the exception of Idyllic Desire. That one seems a bit too pale for my taste.
Really loving the the Color Splurge Patent Lip glosses. Especially loving Posh which kinda reminds me of Candy Yum Yum.
I’m not feeling the Lustre glosses. Not amped up enough to me.
This blog rocks.
Thank you so much hon!
Posh is my favorite as well, I love me a bright pink lip lol. The luster glosses are boring alone but would be great to layer over the patent lips for some extra pop when going out 😉
I’m not a big fan of sparkle eyeshadow. Some of the shadows look nice and others don’t seem as pigmented. But those glosses would be something I would try.
Thank you I’ll have to check those out. I wore Posh today and love it!
