Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics will be releasing three new products on June 1st as a part of their Summer 2013 Collection, one being a new lipstick in Dragon Fruit along with a Mighty Shine Lip Gel in New Flaunt and Maxim Eyes Eyelash Restorative Serum.  I was super excited to receive a sample of the lipstick in my bag from TMS NYC Blogger Preview as I’ve never tried any products from this brand. Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is a brand that specializes in mineral makeup and their lipsticks are lanolin-free and formulated with a natural blend of oils and vitamins.

Dragon Fruit Lipstick is a sheer bright pink with a slight coral undertone. The formula glides on smooth and buttery and feels very moisturizing on the lips. Since it’s so sheer you have to really layer it on to achieve some pigmentation. Be careful though as the lipstick is really soft and breaks easily, mine broke on first use 🙁

Dragon Fruit is a really pretty color for Summer but I just wish that it was a little more pigmented as I think it looks boring on me. I’m just so used to my bright lippies lol. The color will stand out more on those with lighter skin tones. The formula is really nice and the lipstick stays put for hours (not through a meal though.) As mentioned above, Dragon Fruit and the rest of the Summer 2013 Collection will launch on June 1st. The lipstick will retail at $19 and will be available for purchase at www.ybskin.com.

  1. It’s an ok color but not ERICA’S SIGNATURE DROP DEAD GORGEOUS BOLD LIPS..more like a toned down version of MAC’S LADY AT PLAY from the mineralize line which I luv..think the offspring of CANDY YUM YUM and MORANGE..xoxoxo

  2. I like this, it looks good on you! I don’t think there’s anything you can’t rock! I think I could wear this one, in the the third pic it looks bright but on it looks pretty tame.

    1. Thank you. It’s a nice bright but very tame shade for Spring but very regular compared to my usual colors. It’s good to switch it up on em though lol
