Pretty in Pink, Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series Brushes

The Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series are eco-friendly brushes with sustainable pink bamboo handles. The brushes are just gorgeous to look at!

Bdellium Tools has a new line of brushes, the Pink Bambu Series. The Pink Bambu Series are eco-friendly brushes with sustainable pink bamboo handles, all vegan soft synthetic bristles and annodized aluminum ferrules. Bamboo grows more rapidly than any other plant on the planet and can be harvested without major impact on the environment, this makes it one of the most sustainable resources. The bristles are not treated with any antibacterial agents and are hypoallergenic and 100% cruelty free.

When I got a peep at these brushes at TMS NYC Blogger Preview I just knew that I had to have a few so I purchased the 964, 957, and 787 at the show and received the 947 in my bag from the blogger preview. The brushes are just gorgeous to look at but pass the aesthetics, the bristles are super soft and gentle on the skin and the extra long handles make them easy to work with.

Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series 964

AP Blusher 964– All purpose brush designed for use with blush and face powder. I’ve been using this brush to apply blush and bronzer and it works very well. The bristles are long and very soft so you have to use a little more product than you would use with a denser brush. Other than that the brush is the perfect size to apply blush precisely on the apples of the cheeks.

Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series 957

Precision Cheek 957– A versatile brush with a flat head and soft but dense bristles. It is ideal for application of  liquid, cream and powder products. I’ve been using it to buff my liquid foundation into the skin and also to apply my setting powder. When applying liquid foundation the 957 gives a light but flawless finish and it applies powder nicely to really set the foundation well. It is also good for blending your blush.

Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series 947

Small Foundation 947– the smaller head and softer bristles on this brush makes it easy to apply products to smaller areas such as around the nose and eyes and I use it for just that, to precisely apply my foundation around my brows, eyes, nose and to get into my hairline. It does the job.

Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series 787

Duet Fiber Large Tapered Blending 787– The soft long bristles is designed for controlled lightweight application of products on the eye crease and around the nose. I’ve been using it to apply my under eye concealer and it works like a charm. It really blends it into the skin and applies just the right amount to keep my concealer from creasing.

I’ve only been using the Bdellium Tools Pink Bambu Series brushes for a short time but so far I really like them, even more than the antibacterial line of brushes which are still holding up well bristle wise but the handles are splitting due to the plastic material used as a coating (side eye to Bdellium Tools.)  I like the bamboo handles way better. I’ve been cleaning them daily with different brush cleansers and washing them with Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap (which removes everything, review coming soon) and I haven’t experienced any shedding or problems. They dry pretty quick too, even the dense 957. I definitely plan to purchase a few more. The brushes range in price from $7-$20 and you can find them at www.bdelliumstore.com

The product(s) in this post were purchased with my own money with the exception of the 947 brush which was provided for review.  See my Disclosure page for additional information.

  1. Nice post. I see that you wash/clean your brushes very often. When you do the review of the Dr. Bonners soap, can you include some best practices for brush maintenance/care? Thanks!!!!
