I use my Sleek MakeUp Contour Kit almost Daily and I am never without all of the shades in my Makeup Artist Kit. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, yet it packs so much power. Each kit contains both a pressed powder and a highlighting powder to sculpt and define your features. It comes in three versatile shades Light, Medium and Dark. The matte darker powder is used to create shadows on various areas of the face such as the jaw line, bridge of nose and the cheekbones. The shimmering lighter powder is used to highlight or reflect light off the face and can be placed above the apple of the cheeks, on the temples, the tip of the nose, above the cupid’s bow (dimple above upper lip), brow bone etc.
Light
The Light kit contains a light brown pressed powder to contour and a shimmering champagne highlighter shade. Best for pale-light complexions.
Medium
The Medium kit contains a medium brown pressed powder to contour and a shimmering gold highlighter shade. Best for medium-dark complexions.
Dark
The Dark kit contains a dark brown pressed powder to contour and a shimmering bronze highlighter shade. Best for dark complexions. As you can see there is a visible dent in my dark palette as this is the shade that I use personally. In the Winter when I am lighter I can also use the Medium shade.
The pressed powder is extremely pigmented, creamy and blendable. A little goes a long way, I’ve been using the same kit almost daily for about 2 years. It is best to start off with a small amount and build up the color to achieve a more natural look. If you apply too much it will look muddy or dirty. The same method should be used with the highlighting powder to avoid looking like a disco ball. I use an angled blush brush to contour and a fan brush to highlight. Check out the Contour Kit in Dark in action…
The Sleek MakeUp Contour Kits retail for $10 each which is bananas for the quality, and can be purchased at www.sleekmakeup.com.
