Hunger Games Inspired Makeup, Cinna

One of my favorite characters from Hunger Games is Cinna, Katniss's Stylist. So I decided to do a look inspired by Cinna's simple gold eyeliner.

Cinna Gold Eyeliner Hunger Games

Ok, so I gave in to all of the Hunger Games hype and decided to read the books a week before the movie came out, and I must admit that I am hooked. I read all 3 books in less than a week. Loved them so much and couldn’t put them down. I saw the movie this past weekend and although I did like it, I felt it strayed a little bit too much from the book for simple things. For example, showing how Katniss got the Mockingjay Pin. Anyway it was a good movie overall. One of my favorite characters from Hunger Games is Cinna, Katniss’s Stylist. So I decided to do a look inspired by Cinna’s simple gold eyeliner.

Cinna Gold Eyeliner

In this ad Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) is wearing a fictitious eyeliner called Liquid Skyliner. Hunger Games Makeup Artist Ve Neill really used Make Up For Ever’s Metal Powder in Sunflower Gold #1.

  1. I love your style E!
I haven’t read the books nor have I seen the movie. One of our daughters the 1st book. She enjoyed it. Thanks for continuing to inspire me (& the rest of us LOL)

  2. I’ve read the 1st book and now on the 2nd (highly recommended) Saw the movie with my 11 yr old daughter and we both were kinda dissapointed in the film because all the little details were missing. That said, it was a pleasure seeing my beloved Lenny Kravitz :D. Your take on the Cinna look is fabulous.

    1. Thank you so much and I totally agree. I feel as if some of the little details that were left out are important for the rest of the movies, to understand everything.

  3. Long time, no comment! (have still been reading though, just been so busy lately!)

I have read all three of the Hunger Games novels and they’re fantastic. Gorgeous eyecandy as Kravitz is, didn’t really feel he did the character justice…in the books, Cinna is sensual but fatherly at the same time, but all I got from the film was sensual. Ah well. Wasn’t complaining too much ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Gorgeous look!

    1. Hope all is well, glad to hear from you ๐Ÿ™‚

I loved Lenny Kravitz in the role but I did feel that they made Cinna a bit too sensual. He almost seemed as if he was into Katniss, and I didn’t get that from the book.

  4. Beautiful… your makeup always pops on you, love how you use vibrant color ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven’t read the Hunger Games books, but I did see the movie and loved it.. great recreation of Cinna’s look!

  5. very nice, i plan on seeing that movie soon, now it sounds all the more interesting now that i know lenny kravitz is playing a stylist!

  6. I haven’t read the books or watched the movies, but there has been SO many inspired posts about it!!

Anyways, I LOVE how the liner pops on your beautiful skin-tone!! Gorgeoussssss xxx

  7. I like the way Morange looks on you. I started to purchase Electro from a CCO because it looks similar in the tube, but I may just pay the extra $6 for the Morange. Have you tried Electro, if so what did you think?

  8. I haven’t seen the movie or read the books, but I’ve been dying too! All the reviews I heard on the movie haven been positive, but I did watch a movie called Battle Royal and hear the two flicks are identical.
