MUA Chronicles: Linda

I did a 1-on-1 Consultation with Linda and showed her how to create two different makeup looks. A daytime one and a fun, colorful look.

Yesterday, I did a 1-on-1 Consultation with Linda and showed her how to create two different makeup looks. One, a daytime look that was work appropriate but could also work for some night time fun. The second look that I showed her was a fun, colorful look. Linda was visiting NYC from Bermuda for the weekend and contacted me to do a consultation beforehand. I had a lot of fun doing these looks and they came out gorgeous.

One on One Makeup Consultation

Before

Without makeup, Linda has gorgeous skin that is blemish free and glowing. Here is the first look that I showed Linda how to do…

I used MAC Eyeshadow in Espresso to slightly fill in Linda’s brows. After applying Urban Decay Primer Potion, I used Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Tough as Taupe as a base and applied Tease Eyeshadow from The UD Naked 2 Palette all over the lid, and Busted Eyeshadow which is also from Naked 2 on the outer V into the crease. I blended the crease with MAC Soft Brown Eyeshadow and Highlighted her brow bones with MAC Shroom Eyeshadow. I lined the upper lid with MAC Carbon mixed with Embark eyeshadows, using La Femme Cake Eyeliner Sealer. I applied UD 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Zero on the waterline and Maybelline The Falsies mascara on her lashes.

To conceal under Linda’s eyes, I used Sleek Luminaire Highlighting Concealer in L02 mixed with L03. On her face I used a shade from my RCMA Shinto Palette (I believe) thinned out with RCMA foundation thinner and NARS Orgasm Illuminator. I set her foundation with her own MAC Studio Fix Pressed Powder in what I think was NC20, and spritzed on some Model in a Bottle for sensitive skin. I contoured Linda’s cheeks with Sleek Makeup Contour Kit in Light and applied NARS Taos Blush on her cheeks. I used NARS Albatross Blush to highlight her cheekbones. I lined her lips with Wet ‘n Wild Lip Pencil in Willow and applied MAC Everhip Lipstick from the Liberty of London Collection mixed with a little OCC Lip Tar in Grandma.

Linda said that her favorite color was green and she wanted to use a shade of green to make her eyes pop, along with an orange shadow. For this look I used my Ben Nye Fireworks Fantasy Wheel and applied the Gold shade as a base. I applied MAC Sweet ‘n Punchy Eyeshadow from the To the Beach collection on the inner lid, MAC Coppering Eyeshadow on the middle lid and MAC Embark Eyeshadow on the outer v blended into the crease. I blended everything with MAC Soft Brown Eyeshadow and highlighted the brow bone with MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow. I appled Milani Infinite Eyeliner in Everlast on her Upper Lashline and the same UD 24/7 Liner in Zero on the waterline, with The Falsies mascara. I left the same products on the face and cheeks, and for the lips I used the Wet ‘n Wild pencil in Willow again along with Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Coral.

Linda loved the colors that we chose for this look and her husband was floored, he loved it as well. The colors really made her eyes pop and the Coral lipstick looked great on her. A perfect look for this Spring and Summer.

What do you guys think about the looks that I chose for Linda?
