Milani Illuminating Highlight Powder

I love luminizers and how they just light up my entire face, so the Milani Illuminating Face Powders definitely caught my full attention! New for Spring 2012, these multitasking powders can be used as blush, bronzer or highlighters depending on your skintone and gives the skin just a hint of color while giving you a gorgeous natural glow. They are also very pretty to look at. Each powder is comprised of multiple colors that blend together to create one. The powders come in three shades…

Milani Illuminating Highlight Powder Beauty's Touch

Beauty’s Touch, light pink

Milani Illuminating Highlight Powder Amber Nectar

Amber Nectar, peach with pink undertones

Milani Illuminating Highlight Powder Hermosa Rose

Hermosa Rose, golden bronze with pink undertones

Left to Right: Beauty’s Touch, Amber Nectar, Hermosa Rose

The Milani Illuminating Face Powders are very smooth and pigmented. They would work well as a blush for those with lighter skintones, but if you are darker like myself they will work well as highlighters. Beauty’s Touch leans a little cool, Amber Nectar warm and Hermosa’s Rose neutral. If you have darker skin you really need to apply them lightly to avoid the grey “ashy” look, especially Beauty’s Touch.

Overall I love these and highly recommend them. They retail at $9.49 each for 0.35 fl ozs and be can purchased at your local drug store that sells Milani or at www.milanicosmetics.com.

Have you picked up any of these yet?

  1. Okay, so… You are trying to make me fall in love with these. 🙂 Kidding! I think these are gorgeous. I have seen them in the store recently and was intrigued, but to be honest, I think the price turns me off. I really wouldn’t mind trying Hermosa Rose. I may bite the bullet and go for it.

  2. I bought these, but I feel dumb trying to figure out how to make them work. Can you do a look using them?

  3. I have pretty light skin and I was wondering which one would be better for me for a highlighter.

    Thank you (:

  4. Great review!! the shade beauty’s touch is such a pretty pink color I am searching for a light pink blush like this, my bad milani is not available in my country 🙁 I would have bought it’s so pretty

  5. Girl I bought Amber Nectar 2 weeks ago just because it looked cute LOL.. now that I’ve used it on my no blush days I fell in love with the golden glow my cheeks had (I’m NW 44 in Mac). Can I use it as a highlighter with my blushes (Nyx’s cocoa, spice, cinnamon and red plus Lafemme’s mulberry) ?
