Hot rollers are my latest addiction. I’ve been using them a lot lately to add volume when my hair is too straight, or to just change my style up on a whim. They are easier to use than a curling iron or flat iron, and safer for your hair in my opinion as the heat temperature is just right so you won’t burn your hair out and they don’t snag or pull causing damage. I use the Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Hot Rollers. It has 20 rollers in three different sizes medium, large and jumbo.

They heat up in 75 seconds and you can also heat the clamps, causing the hair to heat from the inside out for longer lasting curls. The rollers are easy to put in and  feature ceramic technology which means better heat transfer, and the ions promote shiny, healthy hair. The clamps hold pretty well without leaving marks when placed properly. Love.

I figured since my hair is cut short it would be hard to use hot rollers but that is far from the case. I get awesome results every time. The curls last just as long as when I use a flat iron or curling iron, but I tease them most of the time to just create volume like the picture above. Check out my tutorial to see how I use the Conair Hot Rollers to style my short haircut.

The Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Rollers can be found all over the web, but one of the cheapest prices I have seen is $22.77 at walmart.com

  5. I’m glad that you wrote about these because I have been wanting to try them. I have a lot of thick hair, and I’m sure one pack wont suffice. I didn’t want to waste my money.

    1. In reviews that I’ve seen online, some people with a lot of hair, especially long and thick said that they had to buy 2. Maybe you can check Conair’s website to see if you can buy extra rollers without having to buy an extra unit.

  6. Very impressive site. I’m proud of you! I was curious about those rost get rollers and thought they were only for one type of hair. After seeing your visual aid, I think I may purchase a unit.

  7. What I was trying to say was that I was curious about those rollers and thought about getting them, but thought they were only for one type of hair.

    1. Thank you so much, Soror. Nope, not for just one type of hair. They are very versatile and I believe they would work well for you. If you do purchase them let me know how you like them.

  8. i stumbled across your website, and i just love all the info you give… i was wondering if the rollers are good for fine hair, mine just won’t hold curls but for a minute and also the lipstick you have on in the pic with the coral shirt, whatcolor is that and who makes it???????

    1. Hi thanks for commenting. I’m not sure if the rollers are good for fine hair as I have thick hair but it should work. I’m wearing Milani HD Advanced Lip Color in Sweet Grape 🙂
