"Pantone Spring 2012 Tangerine Tango"

That’s right, I bring to you the Spring 2012 Color Report straight from Pantone, the global authority on color. Pantone has surveyed the designers of New York Fashion Week and beyond for over 18 years to bring you the season’s most prominent color trends. You can’t go wrong with their picks! The color selection covers a range of moods from encapsulating vivid brights, soft muted tones and fun-loving pastels. You can see the full report at pantone.com. No need to go out and buy a bunch of new clothes, the easiest and cheapest way to incorporate the season’s color trends into your look is with makeup. Here are some tips to help you get a jump start…

MAke Up For Ever #92

MAC Red Brick Eyeshadow

Bright tangerine and purple hues are gorgeous on the eyes, cheeks and lips. For purple eyes try Inglot Matte #392 or Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow #92 eyeshadows. MAC Red Brick Eyeshadow is the perfect tangerine shade. Feeling Pantone Solar Power? Try MAC eyeshadow in Chrome Yellow or a similar shade. For bright tangerine lips try OCC LIP Tar in Beta, MAC Morange, Sleek True Color Lipstick in OMG, Inglot Gel Lipstick in #43 or Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Coral. Inglot Slim Gel Lipstick in #65 is the perfect purple, you can also try MAC Up the Amp or Wet ‘n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Ravin’ Raisin.

"MAC Vintage Grape Blush Ombre"

Craving Purple Blush? Try MAC Blush Ombre in Vintage Grape  or MAC Pro Blush in Dirty Plum. For Orange Blush you can’t go wrong with NARS Taj Mahal or Sleek Aruba.

Pinks are perfect on the pout and cheeks, even on the eyes if you are bold. For a bright pink lip try MAC Girl About Town, Sleek True Color Lipsticks in Fuchsia, Amped and Mystic, or Revlon Fuchsia Fusion. For a deeper Raspberry pink you can go with MAC Rebel. For blushing pink cheeks try MAC Dollymix Blush or Sleek Pomegranate.

For pale pink lips try MAC Viva Glam Gaga I  or Sleek True Color Lipstick in Babydoll. These work best with a gloss in a similar shade on top to avoid the hungry look. If you want to go a bit darker but stay in the light pink family, try NYX Thalia or Sleek True Color Lipstick in Liquer.

"MAC Morange Lipstick"

If bold eyes, lips and cheeks is not your cup of tea, tone it down with soft muted or neutral shades on the eyes to balance out the look. You can achieve the nude eye look using the Urban Decay Naked or Naked 2 palettes, Sleek Au Naturel Palette or NYX Nude Palette.

Even easier, throw on some nail polish in these hues. It doesn’t get any more simple than that. My recommendations…Orly Orange Punch , American Apparel Manila, China Glaze Spontaneous, Revlon Royal, Essie Da Bush, Misa Dirty Sexy Money, China Glaze For Audrey, Essie Mink Muffs.

Are you feeling these color trends? Will you be rocking them this Spring?
