Houndstooth is big this Fall, but if you let me tell it this classic print never goes out of style. I lucked out and found a wool Houndstooth blazer from the local thrift guy near my job for $5. Yup you read right, $5 new without tags. I quickly snatched it up before he changed his mind. I decided to pair it with a multi-colored leopard blouse and solid black skinny pants.
I love the way the mix of patterns flow. Taupe suede booties really pulled the look together (My bag was the same color but in glazed leather.)

The feather earrings was the icing on the cake.
Just a single dose of Houndstooth can really transform and pull together an entire outfit, but too many pieces at once is overkill. Just don’t do it. In my opinion more than one piece is too much but definitely not more than two. If you really want to stand out then wear a dress or a coat in the print. For a subtle dose add a purse or some shoes.
