The Sleek Luminaire Highlighting Concealer brightens the under eye area to minimize the appearance of dark circles. It also fades skin imperfections while moisturizing for a flawless finish. From left to right:

L01– good for pale/light complexions with cool undertones

L02– good for pale/light complexions with warm undertones

L03– good for medium complexions with warm undertones

L04– good for medium complexions with cool undertones

L05– good for deep complexions and is pretty much neutral, could work with both cool & warm undertones

I am NW45 in MAC and I use L05. I feel that Sleek can definitely benefit from adding a few more shades. At least one more on the lightest end of the spectrum, one in between the mediums and deep, and one on the darkest end of the spectrum.

The concealer is in a click pen form with a brush applicator. On first use you have to click the pen like forty times before the product comes out, I almost thought mine were empty! It is lightweight, creamy and has very good coverage. To apply, I put a small amount under the eye area and pat it in with my ring finger. I let it set for 30 seconds and then blend.I usually place my foundation on top of the concealer since my sole purpose is just to hide my dark circles but if you are looking to brighten under the eye, you may want to put on the concealer after foundation. With this concealer that would probably make more sense since it has brightening properties, but make sure you have the right shade. Be careful not to put too much because it will settle into fine lines. Set with a translucent powder such as Ben Nye Neutral Set.

MAC Vintage Grape Blush Ombre

It really does help to conceal my dark circles well and brighten under the eye area. For all of the MUAs, these are definitely kit worthy. Now only if I can find something to tighten up my bags!

  1. I have been looking to get a concealer to wear because I have like a dark shade under my eyes. I used to use MAC before but it used to break my skin out almost immediately so I stop using concealers. I guess my questions are: Do you know if this product is light on the skin to prevent break-outs; and, what color should I get in order for my skin to look even?

    Thank you

    1. The MAC concealer was probably too heavy for your skin. I used to use the MAC Studio Fix Concealer under my eyes and it was very cakey and settled into fine lines, now I only use it to shape my brows. I have been using the Sleek Luminaire concealer every day for about 3 months and it has not broken me out. It is very lightweight and easy to blend, while still maintaining great coverage. You can use it on other parts of your face as well.

Now in order to suggest a shade for you I need an idea of your skintone and undertones. What color do you you wear in MAC? If it is easier for you, you can email me a picture.

          1. lol. Im going to definitely try this new luminator and comment on the results. πŸ™‚

  2. Great post! Thank you for sharing!
I’m in search of something for my dark circles.
I’m so out of the loop when it comes to make up.

    1. I know. I can’t wait until we get the products in stores and don’t have to rely solely on ordering from the website πŸ™

  3. Due to a thyroid condition (and age) I had very dark circles under my eyes. I tried 7 different undereye treatments. Two at a time, one for each eye. Whichever worked better, I would use and compare to the next treatment. In the end, the Lady Soma RENEWAL Serum was by far the best. Don’t waste your money on other treatments. This one definitely reduced the dark circles within 2 weeks, and with over 6 months of use, you cannot even tell I had problems with dark circles.

Any puffiness and/or lines have decreased also.

  4. Hi,

I have been wanting to try this product for a while, but wasn’t too sure about which shade would suit me best. Im mac nc40, and have had trouble finding the perfect concelar.
