MAC Surf Baby Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks Swatches & Review

The MAC Surf Baby Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks are creme bronzers in twist-up stick form, and are very similar to the NARS Multiples.

MAC Surf Baby Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks

I had no intentions of getting anything from the MAC Surf Baby Collection, definitely since I am supposed to be on a ban. However when I saw the Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks, I just had to have them. The one thing that my collection is lacking are creme bronzers. The Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks are creme bronzers in twist-up stick form, and are very similar to the NARS Multiples. They come in three shades: Tan Tint, Billionaire Bronze and Gilty Bronze. I picked up Billionaire Bronze and Gulity Bronze…

Gilty Bronze (right): Deep Bronze/Copper with a frosty finish & Red Undertones

At first look, Gilty Bronze reminded me of the NARS Laguna Illuminator. They are very similar but Gilty Bronze is more opaque with red undertones. The Laguna Illuminator is more of a frosty version of Billionaire Bronze…

The Skinsheen Bronzers are extremely creamy in texture and very pigmented in one swipe. For this reason I can seeing them being very easy to over use. A quick swipe with a fan brush or your fingers should be sufficient to apply, or a few dabs across the area that you are applying to, then blend. Both Billionaire Bronze and Guilty Bronze will look great on all skintones, especially the brown-skinned beauties since they are so deep. Tan Tint however will work better for those with very light to medium skintones. It is definitely too light for darker complexions…

The Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks retail for $29.50 and are well worth the price. You get a ton of product (0.49 oz), and all you need is a tiny dab so they will last a long time. They are limited edition so once they are gone, that is it. I hope MAC decides to make these permanent as they would be a great addition to the line up. If I could recommend one thing from the Surf Baby Collection it would be the Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks. They totally rock!

What do you think, will you be picking up the Skinsheen Bronzer Sticks?

  1. These look great. I particularly like the swatch of the darkest one. I have a bronzer stick by black radiance though that looks like I dupe. I’ll be skipping this purchase. Thanks for taking the time to swatch & share. I need to get caught up on reading posts. Is there one for your beautiful purple e/s look? OMG HOT! :O)

  2. Great review! The bronzer sticks look like they pack a powerful punch in the colour department. They look fab against your skin tone. =)I would love to try them out but I am extremly weary of wearing such cream products on my oily skin. I wonder how they fair on oily skin…

    1. I have combo/oily skin and haven’t had any problems with them so far, and I’ve been wearing Billionaire Bronze every day since I got it. Hope that helps!
